Comparing Courtois to Cech’s golden years at Chelsea, it makes Courtois look pretty sh*t.

Given the reasons why as long as he signs a new deal so we get a fair price then am fine with it. Give him a minimum fee of say 70mill, if real are willing to pay it then fine.

He won't be it though. Hazard will join, we will be losing our next only top class player. It's inevitable Hazard will want to further his career with us in a mess

Problem is if we price Real Madrid out of the market we risk him leaving on a free next summer. If he does leave I wouldn't be surprised if the fee is £40-£50m, maybe less. I'll be reluctant to see him leave, Oblak is the only GK I'd be happy to see us replace him with.

You can be happy with Oblak but the way the board are set up we'll end up signing Joe Hart.

Courtois not in same league as Cech. Big Pete was a consistent but also a big game player, saving a penalty at 0-0 in the cup final v Pompey when he'd had nothing to do, away to Barca in 2012, cup final v Liverpool 2012, 2-1 up Liverpool were all over us and that save from Andy Carroll, and obviously Munich 2012, do we honestly think Courtois would of performed in those games like Cech, Courtois is a good keeper, but I'm not sure if he's the type of keeper that can win you a big game

I get the feeling Courtois was never keen on moving to Chelsea and was forced on him. Also hasn't been here that long compared to Czech and when Czech was here we had bigger spending power.

Courtois although not being one of my favourite keepers has made great saves and kept us in matches and is certainly one of the best keepers.

For me De Gea is the best in the league.

Think it is almost certain that he will go to Madrid in the Summer, unless they could prize De Gea away from Utd, as De Gea is clearly the better keeper.

Have to admit at being disappointed overall with Courtois. Think we did the correct thing in replacing Cech when we did as Courtois is a decent keeper and was the right age but he hasn't lived up to expectations and doesn't compare to Big Pete at his peak. I wonder if there is any truth in the rumour that we got rid of KDB because of Courtois relationship with KDB's girlfriend? I know they play for Belgium together but perhaps Mourinho did think he couldn't keep both and Courtois was more important?

Anyway, I expect him to go and if it is Madrid we should get big £££ so wonder who we'll go for to replace him?

Just hope the rumour mill is wrong and it is not Joe Hart.

Is it just a year left on his contract when summer comes?

Courtois well and truly has lived upto expectation's, something we will all likely realize if he goes.

He did an interview recently where he said that Chelsea put their faith in him early on and he wanted to repay that faith.

Although he did say his agent would talk to Madrid if they came in for him. 

It’s worth remembering he’s only 25, the peak of a keepers career normally come when they’re older. 

I forgot about that kdb girlfriend thing.  Maybe that was a big reason we let kdb go.”, to make Courtois happy. We’ll probably never know if that was indeed the case.

I think he's great. I'm not sure about the rose coloured glasses when it comes to Cech. His prime lasted perhaps 2 and a bit seasons? Tibo is in my view a better keeper than Cech was post injury. His dominance in the air is a massive factor for us. 

These Madrid rumours are a bit of a stitchup. His kids live there. Naturally the city has a pull for him. But any time he says something like that all of a sudden it's Tibo issues come get me plea to Real Madrid. If he did want to go back to Madrid we'd be smart to offer a swap deal with Oblak for Atletico. Keeps him away from Real and means we get a quality replacement.

Agreed, I rate Lopes highly and I've been impressed with both Fekir and N'Dombélé this season, two of Lyons most consistent performers. 

De Gea is set to sign a new deal so it's quite possible they're going to  go for him

But does that mean Hazard  is   a bit more likely to stay?

I don't highly rate Courtois quite honestly, if Madrid are willing to pay that much for him sell him. 

Good keeper but not improved as hoped over last three-and-a-half years...if we can keep only one belgian then We should put all our efforts into hazard...if we can get silly money for Courtois, we can use it to buy someone else...besides one can hardly blame the guy for wanting to be closer to his kids
