Diego "the guv'nor" Costa

His aggression is what makes him awesome and fearless. He knows not to step over the line....he's more interested in winding others up so they crack.

okay fine, but turn that aggression into motivation and prove your point with your football abilities, not by acting the tough man all the time. it is all good for fans when he's not getting into trouble, but when he starts missing games due to retrospective action on the field, we will be shaking our heads in disappointment,

You must be joking - he moved his head very very slightly.

this is the EPL where refs and, more importantly, the FA ( acronym for = f**king assholes) analyse every little thing. He needs to hold back his aggression on the pitch in these situations because we don't want another player missing crucial games.

I think you both make great points here. It is ridiculous that you can get sent off for something like that, it's just another sign of distance we are putting between ourselves and the way the English game was originally played and envisioned. Enigma is right though, the FA just love to f**k us over at any opportunity. Those are the kinds of things he could get a retrospective ban for.

He's a nutter, but he's our nutter.  That's the way I see it.  Was hysterical yesterday seeing him check Yacob's shirt as i to say either "who are you?"  Or, "your f**king card is marked, pal!"

I think Pedro and Hazard combined to Coast, with Oscar in the 10 role will be a great thing to behold

Diego Costa has sparked Chelsea exit rumours after reportedly meeting with Atletico Madrid president Miguel Angel Gil about potentially leaving Stamford Bridge.

Costa joined the Blues in 2014 from Atletico for £32 million, and had a successful debut season, but, despite his popularity, Spanish newspaper Marca claims the 26-year-old is hopeful of returning to Spain with Atletico.

Apparently, Costa and Gil met during the summer whilst in Ibiza. The report says Costa told his former Atletico team-mates he wants to return to the Vicente Caleron and Gil spoke to super agent Jorge Mendes about the possibility of a deal.

The Daily Express has picked up on the story and believes Mendes played down the chances of Costa leaving, while the Spaniard's wages are thought to be a major stumbling block.

Chelsea have been linked with Antoine Griezmann this summer while Atletico have strengthen their attack with Jackson Martínez and Luciano Vietto.

Ah, good ol' reliable Marca... The Real Madrid propaganda paper wouldn't ever write something for the sake of sh*t stirring would they?

Might be some truth in it actually.

Diego's getting more and more pissed off at the stigma he's gotten and how he gets treated unfairly by EPL referees.

He's got a reputation in Spain as well. I think he's done his daftest stunts back when he was still in Madrid.

Might be some truth in it actually.

Any evidence of this via quotes or the likes?

Or is this just mere assumption?

Speaking in June when rumours of him wanting to leave first surfaced he was quoted as saying:

"It's quite a simple answer. It’s always a bit more difficult for adaptation in the first season, but I have no reason to leave this place, I love it, the fans love me and I want to stay,'

'It’s really good to come in the first season and win two things. It’s really important and next year I’ll be ready to come back and hopefully win a couple more trophies.'

I suppose Atletico are also signing Fabregas, Dave and Pedro then?

Why on earth he'd want to return there is truly beyond me, I mean Atletico are a good side but they're nothing like the team they were when he was leading the line. Additionally, regarding his treatment by referees in England, it's a lot worse in Spain. His behaviour in La Liga was a lot worse in games like the Madrid Derby where there was the whole spitting fiasco, coupled with the numerous diving and head butting incidents in other games

I would be worried. There arent a great deal of top class strikers around at the moment. There are only two I can think of who I would rather have and thats Aguero and Cavani. Neither are very likely to join us.

Drogba wasnt happy with us when he first joined. At the end of the first two sesasons I remember him saying he will be considering his options.

Sometimes it just takes people time to settle in a new place. I hope he finds what ever it is he looks for to be happy.

he looked happy enough last season when he chose, despite injury, to not only come and watch our match (i think vs liverpool?) but he did so sat up in the stands amongst our fans. a fairly sure sign that he feels appreciated by our fanbase. and he has plenty of spaniards and brazilians around to socialise with... and a manager who will always defend him...

the only thing he could be unhappy about is our results at the start of this season, and no-one at the club will be happy with them. so in conclusion, i deem this transfer rumour to be bullsh*t.

promote traore and watch us score 20+ goals a season

i doubt there is any truth in this anyway. it is times like these where a player should come out and say he's happy; so much sh*t stirring during this time.

he's class

winds up the opposition

scored vital  goals that defo contributed to winning the prem last season

a proper CF that I'm sure the manager would not let leave under any circumstances

What a weird looking child. Poor kid is probably being bullied in school everday.

I think Diego Costa is great and wouldn't swap him for anyone else right now. Everyone has got that mate who is an adorable little sh*t that pisses everyone else off, but you love him for it. That's our Diego!
