June 23, 20179 yr it's amazing how his hamstring hasn't caused him any issues for the last couple seasons. remember when he was at atletico and came here, he was getting a hammy pull quite often. it shows just how good our medical team really are.

Cant really think of any strikers who would be good enough to replace him. Lukaku isn't as good, Lewandowski, Dybala, Griezmann etc won't be available. Griezmann may be available but I can't see Chelsea going after his signature, it'll be Man Utd if anyone. I don't see Griezman as a striker maybe more a replacement for Willian or Pedro. Or in a 3-5-2 as the second striker.
June 23, 20179 yr At one time I would have been gutted to see Costa go but window after window he has seemed so unsettled since the get go really. I think we can all agree on his day he was one of the best strikers to tear the league up in recent years. What i don't understand is the number of twists and turns to this drama since January, has to be one of the most complex player club situations that I can think of. One minute it's the talk talk talk celebration following the story in January, then his attitude on the pitch for quite a few games gave the impression imo he wasn't feeling it for us anymore. Then he kisses the badge in FA cup final. Then says he wants to stay if he can't go Atletico. It's like a soap opera, so many twists and turns!
June 24, 20179 yr Another consideration - Costa wants to play in the 2018 World Cup for Spain which means he needs to be playing ..... I see problems ahead.
June 24, 20179 yr For all the qualities this guy has, why is it that his decision making is baffling at best and downright terrible at the worst. It would have been much better to just shut up at least until January or at the very least convince Conte and the club to sell him in Jan instead of mouthing off to the press. This is a situation where everyone loses including the player involved. Wtf??
June 25, 20179 yr Agree yet let's remember he grew up on a farm in the outback districts of Brazil, doubt there were any intellectual and stable influences around him.
July 1, 20179 yr Reports say that Atleti is willing to buy Diego now and register him in Jan. If true, can we negotiate a swap deal for Griezmann. He can arrive in Jan for all I care
July 1, 20179 yr Happy for him to go...if AM stump up £40m I'll give him a piggy back to airport myself...cheers Diego good luck to you fella...
July 1, 20179 yr Thought he was definitely gone, but not so sure, part of me thinks the board don't want to splash out on a new striker and might convince Conte to reconsider. Edited July 1, 20179 yr by Floyd25
July 1, 20179 yr And that`s for sure won`t work well and Conte will leave us. Now or at the latest next summer.

July 3, 20179 yr Fun no doubt but my issue would be about the man himself. Go have your fun and take the risk of injury but why would you post on instagram knowing your employers, who pay you £200/f**king week, would see this. If he had sustained an injury which would have seen him miss a few weeks of preseason or worst we would maybe be unable to sell him he would have taken an awful slating from the forum and rightly so. i suppose it's just too much to expect Costa to act like a responsible adult. *£200K/f**king week. BTW my reply of 'why' was to why dansubrosa thought Costa was 'What a guy' for posting himself driving a quad through a big muddy hole. Edited July 3, 20179 yr by goose Error
July 3, 20179 yr It's just funny, and it sums Costa up really well. He's a massive character. He's a massive knobhead, but a funny knobhead.

My first thought was about injuring himself as well, and how we would nkt be able to sell him nor play him
