September 30, 20178 yr Poor today, lack of movement and workrate, couldn't hold the ball up to save his life. Swansea fans not particularly impressed.
October 14, 20178 yr Scored twice today, think we've sent the wrong fella on loan Batshuyai looks Swansea standard.
October 15, 20178 yr Author It was no surprise on MOTD after watching the abject performance of Batshuayi and then seeing Tammy score 2 for Swansea that Lineker & Wright would comment. Have to agree with them. As much as I had real hopes for Bats, have to say he is really disappointing and right now would take Tammy all day long whilst Morata is missing.
October 17, 20178 yr I think people are getting a bit ahead of themselves. Abraham has been quite average for Swansea so far, that was the first time he has looked decent from what i have seen and it was against a side just promoted from the Championship. He still has a long way to go before we should start thinking about bringing him back here to play. He would struggle with us at this stage in his career, especially with the lack of minutes on the pitch he would get.

He needs to complete his loan spell (put some muscles and do another loan spell) and we should be good. I feel like he has a higher ceiling than Solanke.
October 25, 20178 yr Impressive cameo yesterday. Swansea suddenly looked potent after he came on. It was clear that it just wasn't important enough for them to risk bringing him on earlier.
November 2, 20178 yr @coco can we move this thread to the General Chelsea FC page? I think Tammy will cause enough discussion over the season to warrant it. Starting with now him making the England squad, not sure it's the right move feel it's a little bit too soon.
November 2, 20178 yr It’s probably all about showing him he’s part of England’s plan so he doesn’t go play for another country...
November 2, 20178 yr honestly, i'd say he deserves the place. we don't really have a striker like him for england. i would like to see him partnered with kane up front.

November 10, 20178 yr As much as i want him to do well, he's totally out of his depth, nowhere near international quality yet. Just shows how poor England have become.

Quite an exaggeration. He could have done better however had his moments and was very unlucky not to score. Showed good strength and anticipation there. But this is his first international match and think that is a bit harsh.

For me he looked no worse than Vardy or Rashford. However that could just be backing up your last point Edited November 11, 20178 yr by PedroMendez

November 11, 20178 yr I think International football has come too early for him, needs a season in the PL first. Still it will be good experience form him and enjoyed seeing how he wrestled at least one of the German's off the ball.
November 11, 20178 yr Good experience for him and I think he done alright. He’s not an Owen type striker but a striker who will take another year or two to fill out and add some strength to his frame. It all depends how it goes for him the rest of the season but at the moment I think he’ll probably need another year on loan.
December 18, 20178 yr Watched him a few times recently and he's just not up to this level yet (I know he's a Chelsea player and people will find it overly critical, but I still think it's a joke he got an England call up at this point in his career). He might pop up with the occasional tap in, but his hold up play is bad, passing isn't great, and there are question marks over his finishing outside of the 6 yard box. If Batshyaui can't even get a game when Morata is injured, then Tammy stands absolutely 0 chance of any game time here next season. Hopefully he can work on his game over the course of the season and we'll find another PL club to loan him to next season, maybe one who create a few more chances. Have to agree and it's funny how all the pundits / experts have gone a bit quiet of late. It's easy to get carried away with the youngsters (have been guilty more than once!) but you hear them on he radio slagging us off for sending players out on loan saying they should be staying and competing for 1st team place but looking at Tammy these last few weeks he does look some way off so has to carry on with his apprenticeship.
