May 21, 20179 yr Seems genuinely happy to share moments with the fans, and not in a 'doing this to boost my own ego' way which comes across quite blatantly in certain other managers.
May 21, 20179 yr No pressure or anything but more of the same next week, please! Edited May 21, 20179 yr by Charles Ryder

May 22, 20179 yr Apart from turning round a team of players who had declined alarmingly last season, winning the league in his first season, and even getting a tune out of Victor Moses, I think the thing I most like about our Manager is the complete lack of drama and his good natured demeanour. Especially when we went through a sticky patch early on this season, he didn't hide or throw a strop at journalists, he took all the snide interviewing on the chin, and was honest. I hope we manage to hang on to him for a few years, I don't expect any club to keep a manager for longer than 3 or 4 years these days, but a period of calm would be most welcome.

Well said. One thing I particularly liked yesterday was how when he walked onto the presentation stage, he went straight to the back to stand with the players who didn't get medals. 4 consectuive league titles as a club manager is an absolutely outstanding achievement, and yet he's all about his players and his staff rather than himself.

I loved the way we have reacted to really bad displays as well, the two obvious one's that stick out in my mind were Arsenal and United away. Those two performances were right out of the 15/16 textbook, yet we responded to one with a 13 game winning streak and the other with a 6 game winning streak to storm to the league. This is the first time since 07/08 i have really trusted the team's sheer consistency, in 13/14 we went into the last four games with the title in our hands but we blew it at home to Sunderland and Norwich, but deep down i knew we would drop points somewhere as we rarely even won 4 or more in a row back then.
May 22, 20179 yr Well deserved, completely transformed the club in such a short space of time. Here's hoping he becomes the second Italian to manage us to a domestic double!
May 23, 20179 yr Hope his arms aren't getting too tired from lifting all of these trophies. He's still got one more on the table at the weekend...
May 23, 20179 yr A post by a Juve fan on redcafe responding to the ever so unpredictable line that we are going to get found out with extra European commitments. Quote yes well, that was exactly the same comments that were being aired after his first title at Juve when he won the last but one match with 4 points over Milan in a season without European cups. The following season got into CL quarter finals loosing to treble winning Bayern and won with 9 points over second team with 4 games to spare. Next year Conte will have a stronger team with more self confidence and deeper understanding of his methods and if anything I suspect he will win the league more comfortably than this year. Granted the competition in EPL is higher than in Serie A, but the gap in terms of tactical ability between a Conte team and almost all the other teams bar 3 or 4 is bigger in EPL

But then after a couple of weeks he then not only let him go back to Italy on loan, but let him go on a three year deal. I read into that that once Conte worked with Cuadrado maybe he didn't fancy him after all. I'm sure he wanted to take a closer look at all the players that were available to him. Especially a player he had been keen on signing while he was in Italy. He did bring back Moses and kept him. That turned out pretty well, didn't it?

Not bad at all.

For young player they could have had a baby bottle or a dummy

May 26, 20179 yr Antonio Conte has won double the number of Championships of the top Division than Spuds have won in their entire history.
