November 29, 20169 yr Looks like Steve Holland could be buttonholed permanently by England come the end of the season. Shame, one of the survivors.
November 29, 20169 yr I could watch conte for 90 minutes and not getting bored better than most TV shows
November 29, 20169 yr very good article on conte wanting us to be even better, and how the goalkeeping coach is helping courtois' game. http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/premier-league/2016-2017/antonio-conte-insists-chelsea-can-get-even-better-but-how_sto5964594/story.shtml#uk-tw-po

Buffon is so far to Maradona as Harry Kane to Shearer or Lineker or Owen. Though, it wasn't a problem for Juventus. And we cannot say all defenders were so technical to cover eventual Goalkeeper's lacks. Barzagli and Bonucci are really strong, but Chiellini uses his feet as a flat iron ... Courtois will improve and it's enough.
December 1, 20169 yr I have huge admiration for Antonio to be animated on the touchline for the whole game. He must have huge energy to do that every game. His passion is infectious and it's evident within the playing squad.
December 2, 20169 yr just read some interesting quotes from Ray Wilkins about Don Antonio. I found this quote to be the best of the bunch: "When you treat the senior pros with the respect they merit and you explain what the situation is, I think the senior professional will accept that. You keep that dialogue going and you say, 'I really do need you if things go slightly wonky with injuries and we'll need you to come back etc'."
December 2, 20169 yr i didn't know too much about conte, but after watching Italy at the euros i was so looking forward to him coming to chelsea and so far he has not disappointed, he seems to be a coach that is still very hungry for success and is on the up, and hopefully taking Chelsea along with him
December 3, 20169 yr Love him. Regardless of how our season pans out I think we've got ourselves a cracking manager.
December 3, 20169 yr I salute this man! He's a genius for turning around the club's fortunes in a short space of time. I haven't had this much affection for a new manager since Mourinho in 2004.

December 3, 20169 yr I didn't have much faith in him at the beginning, but oh boy we've got outselves a world class manager. Guardiola was the best thing to happen since sliced bread yet he got schooled by Conte. So excited about our future with The Godfather!
December 3, 20169 yr Like I said we can't get any worst that last season tie him down because Bayern and Real aren't looking extremely happy with their coaches...

December 4, 20169 yr The last 2 games against city and spurs, I would not say we passed those tests with flying colors.. yeah, we got the result, showing great character to come back from going behind but overall performance wise, apart from our finishing that happened to be sublime on the day, was lacking.. I don't like to say it but spurs had us on that 1st half, had it not them running out of steam (as a result of their pile fixtures & injuries), we might have to endure pochetino smug post match interview like when the last time we lost to them.. The city game was even more obvious on our weakness, too many chances conceded and failure to control the game with intelligent ball possession game, they could have easily won by 2 or more goals on another day, that's how fortunate we were on the day... Positively thinking, maybe it's a good sign that we managed to beat them even without playing that well but I'd rather us addressing the issue before the damage have been done.. Conte waited until we lost a couple of points before making changes even though the signs were there in the previous games so hopefully, he acts sooner this time around...

That's a whole lot of ifs, buts and maybes. 8 wins on the bounce now, two games against teams striving to challenge for the title included and you still can't bring yourself to say "Conte is doing a good job". It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
