Such a shame to lose him yesterday; I genuinely think we would have won had he not been injured. He was holding the ball up superbly before coming off, once we lost him nothing would stick up top and we couldn't get out of our half.

At one point he expertly controlled a long ball with his chest and sprung us on the attack. On another occasion he turned Stones inside and out.

What a player, I'm so glad we got him rather than Lukaku.

I don't think we would have won with him there...but it would have certainly increased our chances.

 

With his heading ability, all it takes is a decent cross and we have a real shot of scoring. When he went off, we lost a target at all. Playing with Hazard and Willian up top is no use when we barely have the ball.

Showed how f**ked we are without him, even when Bats came on, he was nowhere near Morata's quality. We need a real target man option in Jan.

‘It’s a muscular problem. I don’t think it’s serious. He said to me: “Coach I prefer to stop, otherwise I risk having a bad injury.”

Don’t think it’s happening imo. If Spain can’t beat Albania and Israel without Morata, then they have more problems than missing a striker, who’s not even a first-choice striker.

But in the end, the same was said about Hazard but he played against Gibraltar... after all.

It's a different situation, because Hazard was back after a injury, not Morata 

According to this article we could be facing as many as 6 to 8 weeks without our striker. Not good at all.

Doesn't seem that bad. Considering how sh*t palace are, we can afford to rest him for that game and possibly the Roma game as well.

Grade II myofascial injury. Could be December before Morata returns. We need everyone else to contribute a few goals and Bats needs to get better at holding the ball up.

Huge loss, we don't have the cover to replace his goals IMO. That's why the summer was so important to add genuine top quality. 

If he is out for some time, that is a disaster and our transfer window looks like a failure. We had all summer to get a good back up striker, we have a back up striker, who the manager doesn't trust, ignore what he says about Michy improving, he'd rather play Willian as a striker. I hope I'm wrong and Michy is given a chance, because I don't think I can stomach us playing a false 9, let alone play Willian up front again.

Big loss for us, luckily we play only "little team" except AS Roma in CL.. Hopefully see him for the game against Manchester UTD 

I think it's the moment for Hazard to start his season and begin to score. 

He’ll be back in a few weeks time. Ignore the newspapers, they tend to go over the top.

Awful shame to stop his momentum like this.

Michy now has a chance to show his worth. I have a feeling he might be moving on if he doesn't take the opportunity. 

Still think we'll chase a physical striker in January. Shame Belotti is worth a ludicrous amount...

Hopefully the failure to sign another striker in the summer doesn't come back to bite us in the coming weeks.
