August 2, 20178 yr So Nevin writes positively on the clubs website...never seen anything like that before. I don't mind his texts. Not cutting edge but he has interesting stats.

August 3, 20178 yr Great thing Michy is in good form. Only problem is we have spent twice as much on Alvaro. If Michy gets the nod early on and starts banging in the goals we have a good situation. Conte said Morata is still some way behind his fitness so I'm guessing Michy is the numero uno atm. If Conte forces Morata right away we have a super-frustrated Michy by January...
August 3, 20178 yr Can see Michy starting against Arsenal. Fingers crossed he takes over Drogba's role of banging goals against the Gunners for fun.
August 4, 20178 yr I'm also excited by Michy's prospects this season. Time will tell but in any case we have two very good upfront players in himself and Morata.

Agree, he is not even looking at him. Someone is just trying to make a fuzz out of nothing.

August 6, 20178 yr Fake news if you've ever seen it. He showed today why he has a lot of work to do. Great to score goals but you have to be able to hold the ball and contribute to the build up. He didn't do much of either. Make no mistake we will miss Costa badly.

August 7, 20178 yr I don't get it though, wasn't he substituted around the 60 mark? What is he doing next to penalty takers? Unless I'm missing something...
August 7, 20178 yr he wasn't laughing, he was grimacing because arsenal were close to beating us on pens. f**king rival fans reaching for anything lol...
August 12, 20178 yr Feel a bit sorry for Michy today. The red card ruined the game for him, it meant we had to play in a way that exposed all his weaknesses. The difference Morata made when he came on was enormous. Showed the gulf in class between the two. Not just the goal but all over the pitch.

Until Batshuayi gets better at hold up play, he will struggle in a 1 striker system heavily involved in hold up play by the striker. The only way we can help him thrive is in a 2 striker system with him not leading the line.

Morata did much more in 15 minutes in that game, then Batshuayi did in 75min. For me it should have been an easy decision to start Morata today and I don't buy the excuse about him lacking understanding how we play, atleast not when Boga was starting as well.
