Antonio Rudiger

Featured Replies

How come a mediocre defender like Rüdiger matters in terms of who is or isn't the manager? What did I miss here?

Rüdiger is not good enough to start for a top 4 PL team. It's really that simple. He is even worse when playing for the German national side so it's not something that can be blamed on our defensive system.

So reports are saying that he was one of the bad apples causing discontent in the squad, apparently clashing with Azpi multiple times, who was trying to ease tensions between players. Tuchel apparently wanted him at PSG, now Sky Germany is saying that Tuchel has him in his plans and he's going nowhere.

I say get rid. He's a clown of a defender of almost David Luizian proportions minus the ball playing skills. He reeks of bad self-centered attitude to me, I wouldn't be surprised if those damning reports are true. Seems like a fun guy when happy, but at the same time you get the feeling that he can be a right c**t when he's not. If he had the skills to back it all up, sure why not, but he's too damn error prone to be demanding anything.

We had the same report’s after Jose got sacked last time with fans having signs calling players snakes or rats here you go

Haha this reminds me how you used to destroy Rüdiger on TC every chance you got, even before we signed him. You're more subtle now but good to see it hasn't changed. 😂 Proved me wrong... used to be a believer.

Believe it or not I was impressed with him at one point when he first came. Barcelona at home for instance, what a performance that was.

But now it's comical watching him defend, he's absolutely atrocious.

Is comical how many bad players we have really.

Kepa, Christensen, Rudiger, Emerson, Baba, Alonso (unless played as a wingback), Kovacic, Baka, Drinkwater, etc etc

Take Kova off the list! Granted he's not having a good season but he's a quality player when he's in form!

Everyone else though I agree, we could do with all those players gone asap. I believe we've still got Moses and Zappacosta on the books also...

Could you remind me again which players Iazzard and Cesl were? Must have been pre-90s because it doesn’t ring a bell...

which makes this more embarrasing as they couldnt even spell the players names correctly and its on the back of their shirts.

Guys a f**king atrocious defender. If the rumours are true then as others have said it’s just yet another reason to get shot. If Tuchel seriously has him in his plans then I despair. The guy is a bomb scare. Makes Bambi on ice look like a performance of Swan Lake.

If rumors are true, Tuchel is gonna get rid of him as soon as he can.

Who would want a back stabber on the roster, he could very well stab you next.

That's what happens when front office people decide to buy players, instead of the manager.

Both German. You know how that goes. Someone else is biting the bullet.

Not really, managers buy bad players too. If we let managers always buy players we wouldn't have bought Kante we would of bought radja nainggolan instead. The club makes bad signings but makes alot of good ones too.

I'm not convinced about all the names that are being thrown out on social media but Rudiger's name has been very consistent.

I don't know what he did or didn't do, I know that he used to be vocal in his first season and he was openly telling Hazard to stay but he hasn't been good for us for 2 seasons now at the very least. Wouldn't it be odd that he had the means to make a mess in the dressing room, he's a player that has been outside of the loop for a while.

Not buying the story been pushed out by the press. Why would he make trouble for a club legend, and why would Lamps cower to him and bring him back when he totally annihilated Alonso?
Makes zero sense. If he ever tried that he would have banished him to the reserves, & sent him packing early in this window.

Yea it's just very odd and it doesn't add up.

I think the board need to take some responsibility in all this too, reports right from the start were that we struggled to get players out and were left with a hugely bloated squad. It was clear that Lampard will struggle to give everyone sufficient game time to keep them happy. I think we didn't allow Rudiger to go out on loan late on in the window and haggled on the price of Alonso which resulted in him staying, it was obvious the experienced players will cause issues due to limited playing time.

Even Giroud who is a model professional was a little frustrated at the start of the season when he thought he will be third choice, its only natural.

I don't want to jump to conclusion but it sure seems everyone is reporting Rudiger was a massive headache all season long and likely instrumental in getting Lampard sacked:

What a disgrace. Should be unceremoniously thrown through the door at Cobham never to be seen again at this club.

He better hope he's gone before the fans are allowed back in the stadium. We saw the reaction to Benitez, imagine what the reaction will be like after our beloved manager is sacked and this guy has been found out.

I’d be surprised if he was doing all of that, I don’t think either Frank or Jody would stand by and let it happen for a start, let alone return him to the starting line up like the last couple of games.

He’d have been holding hands with Drinkwater and Alonso watching on from the sidelines.

Going to the board to me is unprofessional, and points to a weak character, but I can almost forgive it. Treating the younger players like sh*t, though, is completely cowardly and he deserves everything coming to him if it's true.

It's just really bizarre how he suddenly appeared out of nowhere and replaced Zouma towards the end of Lampard's tenure. There's quite literally no explanation for it, Zouma has been in great form all season.

It won't be blatant bullying, it'll be the other kind, the sly smirky stuff bitchy females are usually good at.
