Antonio Rudiger

Can somebody explain what Rüdiger has actually done in order to be branded a snake and harassed by so-called Chelsea fans online? Or do we just have an incredible number of morons amongst our fanbase these days? (that second question is somewhat rhetorical)

I'm not interested in Twitter tittle-tattle, and I'm also aware he has not posted anything on social media lately (it's bizarre that people are taking this to mean anything at all).

He apparently "went to the board and got lampard sacked"

He is so powerful he got the manager sacked, also he allegedly "bullied some young players."

Seems he ran the place apparently 🤦🏾

Tammy has come out and defended Rudiger and calling it nonsense.

Ignore the chelsea twitter community. Alot of nobodies seeking their own fame and thinking they are important to the club and the fan base.

Yep, now we can go back to worrying about him being a prat in a footballing sense and cut the personal sh*t out. Felt a bit uneasy with how his guilt was quickly assumed.

While I think it's nice to see players coming out in support, I hardly think it refutes some of the accusations. The club wouldn't particularly like to see the perception that a player is a bully or engaged in bullying.

Maybe it is genuine or maybe it's a bit of PR damage control. Who knows?

The club  can't force players to post anything they don't want on social media.

This was all nonsense to distract from the sacking same thing happened under Jose last spell she couldn't even spell the names correctly. Idiots looking for someone to blame

Nope, but they can totally find "other reasons" to isolate you, make you train with youth, get sent on loan, delay contract extensions etc etc etc if you catch my drift.

Surely it would make sense to have Rudiger and Azpi make a statement rather than have Tammy do it if it was club orchestrated. And we haven't heard a peep out of Rudiger himself yet.

Seems genuine to me.

I never felt Rudiger is the type of person who would do anything to harm the team. He is frustrated for sure. Everyone knows he is along with Alonso and Emerson for example. That was the reality in summer where Frank and the team signed in for the new season. They knew the squad is too big but they still continued work and hoped for the best.

If a single player disrupts the scene in general you have to handle it. If you don't you are to blame as much as that player. This underlines the difficulty of being a manager of 25 young men. They are driven and looking for their own interests as everyone do. Looming European Championships and so on.

My only problem with Rudiger is his level as a footballer. It seems he is not the level we need. It is interesting to see whether Tuchel has an impact over him. Usually happens with compatriots working together.

When you see people getting abuse online you always need to put it in perspective. It is not the same abuse you would get facing the person on the streets. Most probably a couple of 13 year olds starts the abuse and when their friends think it is funny they reply. Media picks it up and you have yourself a story. "Rudiger was abused online". Yes, abused online by some anonymous children.

I am pretty sure Rudiger doesn't read or mind. He continues with his life as he should.

Why would Azpilicueta lie about it? If he truly stood up for Lampards honour and got heated with Rudiger, the last thing he's going to do is post a picture like that and claim the rumours are nonsense after Rudiger just got the manager sacked.

They are all trying to pin the blame on someone else other than Lampard who is responsible for getting the team playing.

I think the whole thing is overblown. Even if someone like Rudiger expressed that he was unhappy that's totally normal since we have been really underperforming...

What ever the truth in this story, Rudiger is a very lucky boy there’s no fans at the bridge tonight, as he probably would of got some sh*t

Maybe. I'm not convinced these social-media 'fans' are all that representative of our loyal, match-going supporters. Although thinking back to those "Rats out" banners directed at Hazard, etc, a few years ago, that may be wishful thinking on my part.

Its actually quiet disguesting thinking about it, abusing a player because you think he got your hero sacked.

Happened before and will probably happen again here.Just remember 2015 and Mourinho when some players were labeled snakes and rats and what not.Personally I have nothing against Rudiger,Kepa,Alonso or any other player.I would love if Tuchel could get them playing on their highest level. It's like people have something against them and just want to try and make things up so that they leave.

Also there was 2012 when Lampard himself was the scapegoat when AVB's 'project' hit the skids, some went as far as saying he wasn't a legend anymore.

It's just the media stirring sh*t more than anything, not to defend Lampard, they would throw him under the bus just as much.

One of the so-call more active Twitter Chelsea supporters CareFreeYouth who claims to have a source at the club has deleted all his tweets.
This user doubled down on the Rudi story being true because "the source" at Chelsea told him so. Since Tammy and Azpi came out and said it wasn't, they have since deleted all their tweets.
