Worst thing about this my uncle use to live on Britannia Road and he was Spurs fan LOL I use to take the piss out of him each time I go visit him having Stamford Bridge right at his front door. Yeah I don't think you're a foreign fan, I was never under that impression. In all fairness I can see @RIP Mourinho's point to an extent, not towards you though, I think you're Chelsea through and through, we don't all have to have the same opinions. When it comes to foreign fans though, have you ever browsed a Chelsea facebook post and read the comments? You see people saying "I'm no longer a Chelsea fan" and they're all from outside of the UK saying it. People who've lived by Chelsea locally and went to the games, they'll never say things like that, it's insulting quite frankly. And I'll admit the commercialisation of the game is killing me, I no longer feel compelled to go to games all the time just for the sake of supporting my club. I think big businesses know football fans are mug consumers and exploit our loyalty. But again, RIPMourinho has a point when it comes to those types of "fans" online, but I very rarely see those types of fans on here, and you definitely aren't one at all. Never disputed the point about fake international fans, however just because I disagrees with you on Lampard as a manager doesn't mean I am an international or fake fan or you start calling me names which I see gets directed at me more frequently now. It's like having Lampard made some fans just lose all critical thinking. Lampard didn't make me support Chelsea so I am a Chelsea fan first before any player, club before player that doesn't mean Lampard is one of my favourite players of all time. The amount of joy Lampard gave me to stick two fingers up to Spurs and Arsenal fans after the sh*t I got growing up. If you know London, I grew up in Hackney went to school in Tottenham and I support Chelsea can you imagine the sh*t I had to put with at school when Arsenal were on top and becoming the invincible and winning. This is why I hate Arsenal more than any other team. I had Highbury at one end and whitehart Lane at the other end. So just because I disagree with you on Lampard the manager doesn't take away the bond I have for Lampard the player. This is the distinction a lot fail to grasp.

That is interesting, Arsenal used to be so arrogant and Spurs fans were nasty. What happened to turn you over to the Blues?
February 5, 20215 yr Sorry to be a fake foreign fan. The integrity of this fine forum is tainted and it can't be purified...

I never gravitated to any of Spurs or Arsenal I didn't like them I didn't get a connection to them as I did with Chelsea. All but one of my family are Spurs, Arsenal or Liverpool fans, the one that isn't is a blues like me. My favourite colour is also blue from a young age, so I naturally got attracted to Chelsea and never looked back. I develop very thick skin dealing with all the Arsenal fans, especially with the sheer arrogance they had at the time, now they have to stay in their lane. So that's my stomping ground east London(Hackney, Dalston) north London(Tottenham, Finsbury Park, Islington, even further north, Enfield, wood green Palmers Green). These areas are all Tottenham or Arsenal; this is where I spent almost all of my childhood.
February 7, 20215 yr I would like to praise you all for your restraint and express my surprise that this thread is not filled with vitriol. On a hypocritical note, that was a legitimately horrific performance which surely has other Chelsea fans in addition to me double checking whether or not Guéhi is left-footed.

But on the other hand some of his last ditch tackles were superb, so he gets a 7/10, thats not to counter is Junior school style handling of their goal

Bring Ampadu back on the coach.

As long as he can walk I don't think it matters what foot he likes LOL. He's in !
February 7, 20215 yr Outside of the own goal he was very good blocks last ditch clearances tackles Just a mistake in communication

The game is called football, you would think some basic passing skills, like looking before you pass, would be drummed into him by now.
February 7, 20215 yr I think Frank was right which is starting to show more with his game time. He reminds me a little of David Luiz on a bad day minus the flashes of brilliance.

He did recover well to be fair but it was typical Rudiger tonight. He did have a few iffy moments and that own goal was comical. Thankfully Christensen was on top of his game tonight, otherwise it could have been one of "those" games.
February 7, 20215 yr I didn't expect us to get a clean sheet with him and Christensen but the own goal was more of a total random mess than just lack in quality...
February 7, 20215 yr We should all vote for that one as our goal of the season LOL. If only our strikers had such composure ... Kovacic would have put it high or wide for sure !
February 7, 20215 yr He hasn’t made a mistake in quite some time but that was comical tonight. Zouma should probably come in for him. He has a mistake in him aswell but he’s not as bad as rudiger in my opinion. Goals from set plays have also dried up since Zouma has been dropped.
February 7, 20215 yr Conte dropping Luiz = Frank dropping Rudiger. That is pretty much it. Both were right.
February 7, 20215 yr Trying to calm myself down a bit, and it no doubt helps that we won the game, but he actually wasn't bad defensively besides that horrific mistake he made. I still don't rate him in the slightest though, the sooner he's replaced the better.

It is not just about tonight. Against Leicester the goal was his fault. Also in other games he looked like the weak link in our defense.
February 7, 20215 yr To be fair to Rudiger, we've been spoilt with some of the best defenders in modern times, so comparitively speaking he is always at a loss. Looking at Zouma and Christensen they don't inspire me with confidence either. It's a shame Tomori has gone on loan. Let's hope we don't make the same mistake with him and Ampadu as we did with Ake. February 7, 20215 yr He’s had some good final ditch tackles tonight, but the goal and how unreliable he is at times makes me wonder if he should be in the starting eleven. You just don’t know when he’s going to go full Luiz in a game. But, as I said before, I don’t rate highly any of our CBs and I think we should upgrade if we want to challenge.
February 7, 20215 yr I think he is doing okay. Under TT he has been ever present and other than a howler (all players have one in them, although you would hope him and Mendy you would hope have a heart to heart, I remember Terry telling Cech “just take me out if you need to” they need that type of relationship) we have kept 3 clean sheets. Our defence including Rudiger are doing ok. Be interesting how they do against Utd and Liverpool coming up
February 7, 20215 yr Not his biggest fan, but he has been playing well, so even though it was an awful error, I would maybe grant him a pass, considering it didnt cost us points in the end. Going forward, I think a left footed centre back on that side would make playing out alot easier, if we are to stick with a back 3. Just a pity all of the ones we have coming through are right footed, although Ampadu and Guehi have done well as left sided in a back 3 this season but Sheffield United dont play out under pressure that much often, and its obviously a big step up for Guehi.
