May 14, 20215 yr Has anyone been following this guy closely? I only managed to see bits of him against Juventus so can't make a judgement at all. With Tomori as good as gone and Kurt not fitting in as a ball playing defender, I wonder if he can step up and learn from Thiago next season while deputising for Rudiger in that left CB spot. Edit: If it were up to me, I wouldn't loan any defender next season, just so they can stay next to Thiago and learn just about everything there is about defending. Get him to hang out with the u18 on the days off, he'll feel at home! Edited May 14, 20215 yr by Brigadeiro
May 14, 20215 yr I watched a highlights video and even that had him giving the ball away, or just making simple headers, so likely they couldn't find much that was any good to show.
November 25, 20214 yr Wonder if we might see him as an option for LWB and competition to Alonso while Ben is out?
January 6, 20224 yr Malang Sarr against Tottenham: 105 Touches 88 Passes 93% Pass Accuracy 5/9 Long Balls 100% Aerial Duels 5/10 Ground Duels 4 Tackles
January 6, 20224 yr He actually reminds me of Rudiger -loves his defending, is passionate and physical. If Rudiger does stay, he could teach him so much along with the smoothness and intelligence of Silva.
January 6, 20224 yr Best game ive seen from him, especially 1st half but I still dont see im here long term. His long ball accuracy really needs work, but if he can improve that aspect, and cut out the rash mistakes, i think he we can make a good profit on him.

He was once the 5th highest rated u20 player in the world, and you don’t play for the French team across all youth age group if you aren’t talented. He is in the same boat as CHO for me, he has missed so much game time because of his contractual issue at Nice, and now presently we are too big for him. IMO he just needs an 18mth loan to get up to speed. I will loan him out to a Roma or Watford where he will he be guaranteed game time. Pretty certain 2023 season he will be replacing Silva in the 1st team.

January 6, 20224 yr I think he’s shown enough to keep him around the squad for cup games and as a back up option.

January 13, 20224 yr I thought Sarr was class tonight, seems to be gradually getting better every game he plays
January 13, 20224 yr It seems like all he needs is time to adapt. I believe we've got a good defender here.
January 13, 20224 yr If we play a back 4, could be he is used as cover for left back if we cannot recall Emerson. We clearly don't want to buy another left sided defender this January given how many we already have on the books (5 I think). Let Tuchel work his magic on him.
January 13, 20224 yr Also love the physicality and sh*thousery that he gives off with Le Celso last night. Turning into a great option. If we did lose Christensen, Azpi and Rudiger... i am pleased to see Colwill and Sarr stepping up, maybe even Myuamba
January 15, 20224 yr i thought he done well today overall. Yes the odd mistake or two but seeing as he was up against the diving cheating Cnut Sterling i think he had a good game.
January 15, 20224 yr Dunno, seems a very nice lad and ofc I'm glad he can help out at the moment but I don't really see it. I kinda like that he's cocky and he isn't helped by having to play alongside Alonso but IMO he's doing way too many unforced errors or not-so-ideal movements in almost every game I've seen him play. Was the worst defender against Chesterfield too. Sure as a back-up that plays here and there but he's not the youngest either, right? (maybe he is, not sure) Sounds quite harsh and he is unlucky to play so many games within heavy rotation, lots of injuries and inconsitencies within the whole squad so yep, glad he's here right now doing his thing but fail to see him as a long term solution. Contrary to Trev.
January 15, 20224 yr Did pretty well, but his passing is poor. Really needs to work on that distribution, some sloppy loose short balls, and too safe in his pass choice. If we are going to reach the next level, we need players in all positions, that can play under pressure, and pass with forward with purpose, because at the moment we end up with safe possession, until either Rudiger or Thiago Silva, play forward, or if Kovacic and Kante manage to play through the press. Whenever it comes to Azpi, Sarr, or Alonso, it generally goes backwards. Decent game for Sarr though defensively, i thought he coped pretty well with Sterking in the whole.
