What an ending, great important win! From Bats comedy own-goal, to Alonso making it right again - can certainly say it was an exciting finish! Spuds lose at Wembley again - hilarious! Great confidence building win, now on to face the Toffees back at the Bridge next weekend!

Huge win for our season, it's early, but we needed that confidence boost so badly. Suspensions, small squad and injuries and we STILL go on and beat Spuds. Defence was immense, Christensen was getting the types of blocks in that we have seen from Terry and Cahill over the years. As the great Brendan Rodgers would say, we shown great spirit and character 

When we're back to full strength I'm fully confident in our lads. Rudiger baka and Christiansen were huge today 

Smash and grab.... Amazing we were able to pull that off

Christensen and Luiz were shaky as hell first half, but both looked excellent in the second half. Great show of resilience from young Andreas. 

Bakayoko kept going for 90 minutes and looks a good all-round player.
