The article is contradictory - apparently we've agreed on a transfer fee yet we're also trying to convince him to stay. That doesn't add up.

As far as I can tell, Sky Germany is not considered to be a very trustworthy source. I can't find any other reports that don't originate from Sky Germany.

Tier 4 – Not to be trusted at all. These companies make money out of ensuring that you read them and they will make up anything to get you to harness advertising revenue.

We would have until he's passed his medical and signed his Bayern contract to make one last ditch effort to convince him to stay. More money, more playing time, more whatever.

And i haven't said its true. Quite clearly i am hoping for the opposite and some grumpy members on this forum clearly takes that as some kind of attack as well.

Isn't his contract up at the end of next season? So what's with all the urgency? We can tell Bayern to f**k off, keep playing him and trying to convince him to extend, and if he's still adamant he wants to leave, sell him in the summer. If CHO is as good as people here are convinced he is, this will be a great exposure to all the potentially interested parties before he leaves in the offseason. And if he changes his mind, all the better.

Him and Loftus are more than ready.

RLC has to get and stay healthy. He was looking like a world beater, was getting a good run of games, and then fell off a bit...  can't be coincidental that his form dipped and his back problems returned.

Just now, Zola said:

Sarri needs to give him a really good run of games to keep him I think.

Him and Loftus are more than ready.

The thing for me if he's off anyway he may as well just go now. He needs to commit or just go. I don't see why we should be stuck in limbo. If Hazard is holding up his decision then Hazard needs to decide now as Sarri implied last week.

You cant blame CHO, based on our historical dealings with young players.

Bayern is a big club and it is a lot to think about. You don't want to end up another Joe in Vitesse.

If we are serious, we have to play him regularly, even if for half hour stints.

It would be strange to let him go now. I think he also has to stay until the end of the season to be classed as homegrown.

Fingers crossed, but bayern seem to going all in for him. This latest bid is very close to a club record fee for them.

The club will hopefully slap a unattainable price tag on him and crack on with integrating him into the team with immediate affect. Then Bayern will go and buy elsewhere. In the mean time Callum shines in our team and basks in the adoration of the fans for the next 4 months. Hence forcing the clubs hand to offer him a contract and terms too good to refuse.

If he will deserve, he will play for sure.  It depends only from him.

I gather the other 'grumpy' member's reaction was largely influenced by your posting history (I can't say I'm familiar with your posting history though, personally) and the fact you claimed this is "blowing up", which is a big exaggeration. I don't see what that has to do with me though?

For somebody who claims to want this not to be true you do seem very keen to defend/accept these rumours. You're not the worst offender though. For example:

So CHO is leaving, Hazard is leaving, and we may be signing the Italian James Milner. f**king fantastic.

IF its true its almost inevitable, whether its CHO or another 'academy' player there are factors at work that almost cause this to happen

- high turnover in managers, no trophy/ top 4 no more contract. This does not foster any manager taking a chance on younger untried players no matter how good they are.

- senior players not only on mad weekly wages but on a whole host of appearance/ performance bonuses. May seem insignificant but there's a lot of dosh at stake if senior players bench warm too much. Hence more pressure on managers to play established players (unless your Jose - looked what happened to him recently).

- transfer policy - enough said ! Why buy CP if you have a CHO ? Also Tammy turned down Wolves cus he doesn't  want anymore loans however he wouldn't of turned down a permanent move to a prem club this month.

- its the thing to do now, CHO sees his England peers from other clubs get moves and do really well especially in Bundesliga.

- Bayern want him really bad, 35 million is a lot of money for an unproven player, and IF he wants to go as reported Chelsea will find it difficult not to turn the lolly down.

Lets hope he has a good game today (IF he even starts or makes an appearance), think Spuds in their current form away may be a bridge too far but I hope I'm wrong and he does well today and stays.

No issue with you. You are as far as i'm aware respectful and have some manners.

The other guy in question doesn't however which is quite pathetic when you are an adult.

Disagreements are necessary and what we are here for. You and I can disagree and still have a decent tone when we talk which i appreciate.

We just spent almost double that for a similar young prospect, still unproven, from the same league Buyem Munich plays in.

PLay him till the end of the season and if he's good enough that Sarri wants to keep him for the first team, the club will likely land more than 35million due to a bidding war over a highly talented 18 yr old despite only having one year on his contract.  His resale value would be insane in the modern market, even 6-7 or even 8+years down the road.

If nothing else it might give hope to other youth.....but if CHO is sold now despite being so promising and getting so few chances, how can the club ever try to convince a youth player again that they have any sort of reasonable chance of making the first team whilst keeping a straight face?

Edit: but if CHO is not going to get regular chances for the rest of the season then sell now.  Give the kid a chance to prove himself elsewhere if we won't allow the chance here and don't send the message you'll make promising youth rot in the bench or in the reserves rather than giving them a chance or selling.

I would agree that both CHO and Pulisic are unproven, however, Pulisic is certainly more proven than CHO and it's understandable that he would cost more at this point.
