Other strikers could do better, Messi could slot it through the keeper and has better close ball control to round him. But treat Morata as a slightly above average striker in his current form

You really need to look at that again and see how close the goalkeeper was, he would have had to get the biggest chip in ever which even if possible would have never had the pace to drop in.

Really thing people are being overly harsh on Morata. From that distance there is no way he, or anyone for that matter, would've gotten it over the keeper. Maybe he could've gotten lucky if he took a shot on but imo he made the correct decision. There was just no one in the box to finish it off as usual.
