Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue

It would be interesting to see who's coming in if he's on his way out. Should get a pretty penny for him and he was a key player for us before the break so would need replacing one would assume.

Like I wrote above, his position seems to be covered. So we could sell him and strengthen in other areas.

If hes on the market I am sure Pep will be in for him again he's even better now because hes had couple years in the prem.

If he's sold I expect him in man city blue next season

That would be an absolute dream. Mount, Ziyech, Werner and Pulisic would stroll past him with ease right on to City’s dodgy AF centre backs.

However, that’s not going to happen.

There is no sign that he is getting sold to another club at all. Lampard said he is in his plans and Jorghy's agent was pretty clear when he said that ever since Sarri left, Jorginho hasn't been in contact with him and he also said that nobody can afford his fee at this time period anyway as he has been playing well in PL and for the Italian national team as well.

By this time there would be some real gossip about a club that would buy him but there is none, Juventus bought Arthur in a swap deal and paid around 10m so they solved their problem. We already know where is Pedro going and we're not sure about Willian but we already have Ziyech as a replacement + Werner and we are only linked with Havertz at the moment, the only midfielder that has been linked to us has been Sergej Milinkovic-Savic so if there is something going on it's kept as a big secret and that's highly unlikely unless Marina outdid herself.

Kante was overplayed and as I feared he got injured. I already made the prediction that with Kante being injured Gilmour walks in the starting lineup so lets hope he does well.

With Kante being injured we only have Gilmour and he doesn't look like he can play 20+ games yet. The good thing is we will get Ampadu back so even if Kante becomes injury prone we can rotate Gilmour and Ampadu there.

Almost zero chance of that happening. Fernandinho is still there, & Rodri is his replacement. They have other positions that need replacing, & with a sweeper goalie like Ederson you don’t really need a Jorginho.

Jorginho's Chelsea home benches are news to some extent. In fact, although tomorrow has been announced as owner, for over two months, the situation is clear: it is no longer part of Frank Lampard's plans; recent consecutive exclusions (and not summons) are a clear track. In case of a fair offer, Jorginho will leave the Blues. Juve has been stationed for months and months, as we have already mentioned, but had the need to close the Panic-Arthur exchange due to a gain. The days will come to evaluate the Jorginho option well. For Sarri it is a very first choice: in midfield Juve will still do something and we reiterate how other market plots can open up with Chelsea, with the involvement of some black and white players (Rabiot also confirms it). At Juve, Emerson Palmieri continues to like, for some time on the list of Inter, but on Jorginho the speeches are very clear. Chelsea deprive themselves of it, under the right conditions, there will be time to get to the heart.

google translate, sorry

This I'd say is probably accurate. If we can find a deal with Juve (or another club) he will be leaving. Frank had a long time to ponder our midfield over the break. Jorginho doesn't seem to be in the picture at the minute.

Would like him to stay in all honesty, he's the closest thing to Cesc we have and if we sell him there's nobody else that can replace him

Ermm Nope! World’s apart, kind of disrespectful to compare both players.

I wouldnt go that far. They can both spray a few passes and long balls and both quite poor defensively!

Besides, if not for Jorginho, who's the closest to Cesc in terms of style of play?

Personally feel Fabregas is massively underrated & a tad disrespected by football fans in general. You know peak Fabregas was brilliant on the left, at the tip of a diamond, as part of the midfield three and as a false nine. Do you also know he is 2nd on the all-time PL assist table even though he only played 13 seasons in the league.

As for the Jorginho comparison, Jorginho’s all time career assist Record  (19) is just 1 assist better than the no of PL assists Fabregas scored in his 1st season with us (18).

Different players, but Jorginho's vision and long range passing is very underrated. I would say out of all of our midfielders he's the most similar to Fabregas in that aspect.

Not one to be reactionary but with the current predicament of Kante/Kovacic being out and Jorginho not having played a single minute since the restart, if Gilmour is given the nod to start today I'm afraid Lampard may very well intend moving him on in the summer

I wouldnt say Fabregas was underrated or overrated, he was rated just fine, because he was seen as one of the bet playmakers of all time in the prem and in spain.

Jorginho, while not being on the level of cesc is still closer to cesc than anyone else on our team currently (which is the point im trying to make)

Either way though, i dont mind selling Jorginho as long as we get enough money and look to reinvest in a replacement

Kai or Sergej would be a good replacement, we got Billy the kid and Ampadu as our new deep playmakers

Yeah for sure, preferably I would love it if we could get both Savic and Havertz! Jorginho looks set to go, Barkley might go as well and RLC is very injury prone and Kante isn't really the same player anymore with his injuries.

Ampadu could do with another loan, and maybe Gilmour too but even if not, they can both play important squad roles and can ease them in
