Do you mean the barber-thing? No, he was dropped by his coach a few times over his attitude, he has missed team meetings, returned late from internationals etc.

Still I think those are minor things weighted against his talent. Kante is late all the time and he is okay.

August 5, 20205 yr He threw a hissy fit for being subbed off at half time against Bayern despite the fact that his performance and work rate during that half were appalling. Seems to be a bit too egocentric for someone who's yet to make it at the biggest stage. He'll fit right in at United. That's not to say that I doubt he'll score tons of goals throughout his career.
August 5, 20205 yr Would have loved him here. Superstar in the making. Very expensive though, so im happy with Ziyech, Werner, and Havertz for a similar outlay.
August 5, 20205 yr Hopefully Man Utd balls up this transfer and we buy him at a cut price next season.
August 12, 20205 yr Win win for us, if we lose Havertz to those jokers at OT, pay the money for him, a Politicking game of chess, with us in the boss seat.
August 25, 20205 yr It is looking increasingly likely that Sancho will be staying at Dortmund this season, I wonder if Chelsea will be looking towards him as a target for the next summer transfer window or whether we will look for squad options considering how many first team players we've brought in. I can't see the club going after him for the foreseeable future as I think Rice will be the big target over the next 12 months considering he keeps his performance levels up.
August 25, 20205 yr It’s certainly a possibility but you’d think after the huge spending this summer we’d want a couple of quiet windows. Personally I think he’ll be off to United, wether it’s this year or next year.

All going to be defensive reinforcements. Will need to look for a successfor for Silva already given his age, and also someone quality to partner him with. If we don't find a replacement for Kepa this year, then we still have to do that next year.
August 25, 20205 yr There's no chance we will be even looking in his direction now unless Ziyech epically flops and even then we'll go for a cheaper option.

There are still United fans who think we're a football club when, in fact, we are a business. The Glazers will not spend money. They've got their precious top four place and the cash it generates, and that's about the extent of their ambition. People point to the money spent by Van Gaal and Jose but look at the overall investment figures since 2013 then look at Chelsea. Even with a transfer ban, team investment has been excellent and Lampard has clearly been backed. Ole will be hung out to dry.

I think with Grealish signing a new contract and Bale off to Spurs, Woodward and the board will splash the cash on Sancho. I don't think they have a choice at this point, If any of your front 3 get injured for any lengthy period United will struggled to make top 6 never-mind a CL place.

The latest guff is that we're after Telles but I suspect PSG will get him. As for Bale, they say you can never go back (or is it you should never go back?). He's still got a season or two left in him I suppose and he's got a point to prove to Zidane that he's not all washed up.

I think he surrounded himself with English speaking people and didn't ingratiate himself with the local people or learn the language. You have to speak the language when you live in another country if you want to be accepted. Its nonsense for a player of Bale's proven ability to not be selected by Real Madrid. He played well and scored when selected but was treated like an outsider. He did little to assimilate and paid the price.
September 21, 20205 yr Are we still talking of the possibility of Sancho joining Chelsea? If not, this thread should be somewhere else...

October 2, 20205 yr Dortmund turned down £92m for Sancho, I think we should steer well clear of this one. Too much money.

I'd hardly say Ole has it rough at Utd. Ole: James £16m, AWB £50m, B.Fernandes £50m, Maguire £80m, Van De Beek £35m Lamps: Kovacic £40m, Mendy £21.6m, Ziyech £36m, Chilwell £45m, Werner £45m, Havertz £72m Perhaps Utd aren't willing to spend more money for Ole until he performs with what he's got.
