We saw what injuries did to the likes of RLC and CHO, I'm hoping Reece is made of the same stuff Arjen Robben was, he never let injuries determine his career in the end. But most times it does. It's not good for a young prospect to be constantly getting injured like this. Does seem to happen to a lot of our youngsters though doesn't it? This is all on Southgate. James hasn't been fully fit and hasn't started 3 games straight since his return...
March 25, 20233 yr Need to stop these sh*tty qualifying matches during the season at two weeks a time, no once cares or wants these matches. Just get the season done earlier and let the same teams qualify at the end of the season and for the majority who don't care are away in the sun.

Never made any sense, and the knock on effect is you now have Mount demanding parity. Now if we crazily extend Kante’s contract, we will have 2 injury prone players as 2 of our highest earners.

Yes it does... you start to wonder what's going on... who's monitoring the sickies.... It's like having a great office worker who's always got bloody flu or something.
March 26, 20233 yr Rushing Kante, Kova, and James back into the team during Lampard/Tuchel’s tenure haunting us.

April 2, 20233 yr Yesterday I thought we had Neymar playing for us, his new do caught me by surprise.
April 13, 20233 yr By far the worst performance I have ever seen from Reece James. Vinicius Junior ran past him without any resistance all game. Bad passing. Slow. Lazy. Sulking. Looks like he has given up on the season and doesn`t want to be here. WTF is going on with him? He needs to get surgery and miss out on the rest of the season to get back to his best next season.

April 13, 20233 yr Definitely gives the impression he is playing within himself. Maybe I’ve got my head under a rock, but suspected an injury and reading about surgery above, perhaps that is the case. Want to see him back to his best.

April 13, 20233 yr I have same thoughts regarding Reece James as I do re all our underperforming players. They can’t perform under these circumstances. They all play football at the top level. That means everything kind of has to be right, as with any other sport played at the top level: owners, coaching, support staff, fitness, diet, mentality, team spirit, domestic situation.. The margins are fine. You really can’t afford to let any of these things slip if you want to compete at the top. You’ll get found out sooner or later. Now think how far off we are from ANY of these things being right. We’ve been through four managers in a season, evisceration of the club including all the staff. Owner mouthing off about 3-0. Rumours that Corden is calling the shots (bs but what does it tell you about the state of the club that it’s even circulated in the first place and not beyond the realms of credibility?). Zero cohesion, no style of play, god knows what the fitness regime is like… one can criticise the players for not giving their all etc but they’re only human. Obscenely well paid humans, but that’s a) not their fault but ours, and b) being well paid doesn’t in itself guarantee best performance. It’s a sinking ship. To me, talking about the players - who should we get, who should be subbed off etc- is a bit like being on the titanic just after it’s hit the iceberg and discussing one’s favourite crew members, which ones should be replaced etc.

April 13, 20233 yr Hard to know what is wrong with him unless we hear from the horse's mouth. If he needs surgery then get him the surgery. We have Malo Gusto coming in next season, so many as well get him the surgery asap so he can be back far better next season.

He had an absolute shocker against Real Madrid. Re-watch the game and look how he defended. He basically operated at walking speed forcing Fofana to deal with Vinicius Jr. all game. I think he is just not fit. I am not even going to get started about the lack of forward runs.

April 15, 20233 yr Doing my head in he is. If he’s injured then get it f**king sorted. If not, then I’m disappointed in his behavior.
