All scousers.

OK JT was a bad analogy, forgive me blossoms. But i wont take part in the pre-season slaying of Rudiger, he may not be a great ball player, but he's got the heart and strength in his game that were going to need this coming season, the time to talk about replacing him is a whole year away yet.

I cant understand how anyone can question Rudiger after last season, he was comfortably our best defender.

Hi is player who can play great but can make a lot of mistakes will see in the new season his shape if hi is like the 18/19 or error maker like 17/18

There’s now talk of Ashley Cole returning to the club!

It's one of those stories that is a classic media made up story. It sounds like something that could happen, so write it up.

I'll believe it if it happens. Don't really care either way though!

JT played one of the best passes Ive ever seen at the bridge to play Ashley Cole in, it was an absolute beauty. He has it in his capabilities to hit long and short with both feet so I`m surprised to see anyone claim he isnt good with his feet. He was a midfielder as a kid and spent time learning from Leboeuf , who was a fantastic passer.

Didn't Lampard say that Terry's ability in passing made him work on his even more?

I love Rudi. He's the name on the back of my shirt this year.

Did he, I dont remember that but it wouldn't surprise me.

Terry was known to have a good long pass and vision. Rüdiger‘s not quite up to that standard but he’s still pretty decent.  Christensen is our only centre back that I think appears weak on the ball now that Cahill‘s gone.

JT was excellent doing pretty much anything with or without the ball. That is why he is considered to be one of the best.

Christensen or Zouma are not very natural with the ball.

I think Rudiger's passing of the ball is very underrated, I think we've just been spoiled with Luiz's output that it overshadows how good Rudiger is at playing it out from the back.

It will be interesting to see what formation we will line up in tonight.

Will be the first indication of what system Lampard intend to start the season with.

My guess is 4-2-3-1.

I hope not... I detest that boring formation

I wouldn't read too much into what tactics and formation are used today given the players Frank has had to work with so far.

John Terry was no better with the ball at feet,.

Kidding, he's 1 level above Rudiger who is 'OK' with his feet... but JT was so good at the art of defending that many overlook his ball skills, he was decent with both feet and no surprise he started out as a midfielder

Am still a little surprised JT has been very quiet with Frank coming in, haven’t heard him mention anything anywhere.

On instagram JT has congratulated Lampard. Welcome home ? , he said :good2:

i believe so, mate.  Obviously willing to be proved wrong, but I'm sure Lampard said in an interview that Terry made him a better passer.

Lamps played with kids yesterday and a for a lot of them was first match in blue shirt so we will see in next matches who is up for and who to loan again or sell
