expect much tougher game wednesday night. I saw many Villa games this seasson and they are very dangerous side. their position on the table is missleading.

As opposed to what, CHO looking like a young Messi every time he gets on the pitch?

So you have to play like Messi in the 19 minutes your given to have any chance of getting into the team ? Bit of a high bar isnt it ?

Anyway why should we listen to you after you predicted we would get nowhere this season with Tammy up front, after today showed we will get nowhere without him.

Unless CHO proves to be as great as we all hope he is or we sign someone who's a clear upgrade on Willian, what choice do we really have?

I sympathize with Frank, due to the transfer ban he was stuck with certain players long past their 'sell by' date and couldn't bring anyone in. Although I think he actually rates Willian, at least as a squad option, just like pretty much every CFC manager before him.

I agree that Hudson-Odoi has to prove himself, he isn't playing well enough right now, but at this point, I would pick any new face over Willian just to try something different. I will be shocked if Willian's form improves in the next 6 months.

CHO should play a whole lot better than he's doing right now if he wants a starting spot, I'll tell you that much. He shouldn't be picked just based on the fact that he's an academy graduate and has a great potential. I can accept mistakes and poor decision making due to his young age and lack of experience but he's not performing like someone who is desperate to prove his worth, and that's what I expect from him.

What does Tammy have to with CHO/Willian debate? Should I post some smug reply on Abraham thread every time he plays poorly between now and the end of the season? Then again, God forbid, I'll turn into you.

First game of the season we deserved nothing from, If anything West Ham deserved a 2nd goal whereas we barely worked there keeper.

Having said that everyone expected results and performances of similar ilk throughout the season and it's incredible that over a 1/3rd of the season has passed and now we've seen a performance where we looked completely toothless and I don't think its a surprise that it's a game where Goroud and Pedro were part of our front 3.

Off topic a bit, but our home support I have to say is pathetic at times, team performance not good, but Christ our support at home, really need to improve everywhere in ground. Sorry if I offend anyone but us match going fans really have to look in the mirror, 3pm KO Saturday London derby and an atmosphere like that

Sorry boss, dodgy cough and can barely speak without losing a lung. Will try harder on Wednesday

I don't know how he's still taking corners, he's never been good at them.

I thought it was all over earlier in the season on his first start, Mount took the ball off him and told him to piss off. I thought Frank actually realised he’s sh*t at set pieces bar a few lucky goals.

We deserved a draw, we didn’t deserve to lose. The spammers did nothing other than score. We weren’t good but we were better than them. This is a game we should have never lost. And it’s the f**king pikeys for gods sake! A draw was fair but we could not score if it went in for 3 days.

I pointed out how wrong you have already been about one of our youngsters, i think that's fair when you go writing off young players later on, you could be wrong again.

All i could hear were west ham calling us Rent boys throughout the entire game.

Give CHO some break please. The difference between winning and losing these kinds of matches is just a few details that Lampard refused to take note of. Lampard obviously looked down on West Ham, I think he thought they weren't a good side. I mean he started a certain Pedro who I don't think has started any match for us this season. And I keep saying our defense starting from our defensive midfield to the defense itself is bad. This is ridiculous.

Losing Abraham was a blow. Not sure it was wise to start Giroud over Batshuayi though. At least Bats would’ve put himself about. Instead our tactic was to have James pepper their box with crosses in the hope that Giroud would get on the end of one. When that tactic didn’t work, we just looked lost. Didn’t help that Pedro and Mount failed to contribute anything and Pulisic went quiet after a bright first half.

Our set pieces were woeful all day. Either overhit by Mount or underhit by Willian. Our general play wasn’t much better. We got caught in possession far too often, and we were generally sloppy with our passes, which made us vulnerable to counter attack. Despite our possession stats they looked more likely to score and our defence looked uncertain.

The only meagre consolation is we learnt a lot about where our weaknesses lie. Otherwise, a day to forget.

You didn't mention Jame's crosses that for me were crying out for someone to get on the end of and I was shocked Bats did not come on for Giroud.

Just got back from the game, i don’t get to live games very much these days after being a season ticket holder for 32 years so big deal for me.

I am gutted, one of my top 5 hates as a team along with Spurs, Liverpool, Leeds and QPR

anyway I am still refreshed and optimistic this is a team and manager on a very steep learning curve, performing In General above expectations. We need a top centre forward. I don’t think Tammy being fit would have made big difference today even though I think he has huge potential. We still have Rudiger and lofthouse-cheek to come back, add a transfer window we will be up with the best.

Until then we will learn as a squad and a young manager

so looking beyond my short term frustration with today and trying to accept these types of set backs, just a shame it was to the pickey’s ....... that would have hurt Frank more than anyone

Yes sorry state of affairs, pikies never been renowned for singing apart from that bubbles drone, but we just couldn't get up for it, o well still a positive season, pissed off we lost, but hey, villa at home Wednesday, UTC

Did anyone notice the foul count today? 0-16.

Maybe we were just too nice?

I did though not many yellows more pushing our players and knocking them off balance.

The worst performance of the season, never had the intensity and sharpness to trouble them, I don't recall their Gk had a real save to make all game. Maye CHO was not fit, but starting Pedro was a mistake, he barely played off the bench in the last 6-8 games, and his performance showed, should have been by half time. Giroud was decent, but clearly lacked the match sharpness, in hindsight maybe we should have started Batman, but his performance the other night proved otherwise. Pullisic missed 2-3 big chances, again, maybe he's been over achieving recently, a bad game was to be expected. The defence for their goal was poor, where was the man tracking the full back? James was in a lose-lose situation there, and no central defenders tried to cover the cut in or shot.I can't help to think Lamard's pre-game comment back fired, judging by how determined the opposition was. We all knew the history, but was it really worthwhile to stir them up?

Credit to West Ham. They wanted it more and they got what they deserved.

Only Kepa gets any credit for me. Couple of good saves, no chance on the goal. All our outfield players were different degrees of poor so dont feel like pointing the finger at just a few of them. All 13 used were crap.

Sarriball back in possession with a useless monopoly of the ball and doing bugger all with it. Final ball was shocking. And our normal corner kicks situation. How many for us, everyone one poor and easy to defend. West ham 3, every one dangerous.

Our defending was laughable as was our all around lethargic play.

I was wrong about the rotation, was not good and Pedro and Giroud did a poor job of shopping themselves around.

Terrible subs by Frank as well. Just like Valencia at home performance wise, only less effort.

Shameful considering it was meant to be a derby. I want to give the players stick but it is obvious that the exertions of the city and Valencia games took their toll. My main issue is with Frank taking off Giroud and playing with no striker. IS IT A f**kING CRIME TO PLAY WITH 2 STRIKERS. Hate Jose all you want but he would have brought on batshuayi to partner Giroud and may be even sent Zouma up front to give their DEfenders and especially their new keeper something to worry about.

I am all for sexy football but when it is obviously not working just switch the damn thing

Tired performance.  Giroud, Pedro, mason mount individually and as a unit offered nothing in attack. I can understand the team selection but it didn’t work. However a performance like that’s been coming for a while, so not too worried. I wanted Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic in midfield and I still think that would have worked better.

Frank was effectively shown the way the week before by Jose going 3 at the back and adding more cutting edge to beat West Ham.

Frank kept the system the same yet strangely took off our only striker for more players that would be hanging around the box getting tied up by West Ham.

Our best moments were in the First Half yet Frank got the subs wrong again, I hope he is learning from this.

whereas Willian has a free pass into the team every week despite his lack of goals, assists, crosses finding a blue shirt, key passes, you know all the things an attacker should be notching up.

What? Willian has been playing very well until the last couple of games and has been absolutely deserving of his place in the team. He's had a couple of poor games and as a result was dropped to the bench yesterday.

This place is really weird when it comes to Willian. I just don't get it.
