Welcome Hakim Ziyech

It's right to be pissed of with the pair of them, both of their names fit nicely onto the chant.....

He plays when he wants, he plays when he wants, Hakim Ziyech , he plays when he wants !......Mateo Kovacic , he plays when he wants !

But Potter and the club will not question them for fear of upsetting the dressing room.

This is what we now have at the club, a bunch of players in cosy jobs, over paid a basic salary, no need for them to perform for the club.

I hate to say it, but i can see it getting worse in the coming months with players having no will to fight for the badge.

I don't get your point...so you are saying Ziyech or Kovacic only play for money?

What a load of bollocks that is. In their national teams both of them are crucial players. For us neither of them are. You need to realize they are on big salary and won't play. Think of yourself in that position. The unspoken words from your fellow team mates who know you are making double salary and playing lot less.

Both of them have always put in a shift when playing.

I’d argue at least Kova has been a crucial player for us over the last season or two.

Crucial because his midfield partner is a bit soft. He makes way more mistakes for us than Croatia as well i noticed. But Ziyech has been nothing short of a lazy little sh*t for us, he cant beat first man with crosses for us, but for Morocco he puts them in the danger zone time after time.. We will never win the league with these on/off players.

Ziyech has put more than big shifts for us. His style isn't system football is it. For Marocco he has basically a free role. For Tuchel there is no free roles. Ziyech even for Marocco didn't deliver end product that much but he put in those dangerous balls as he has done for us. Just after he signed for us he was doing it every game as he was in the zone. With injuries and sacking of Frank it all went a bit south for him. He is not a motor, he is an instrument. If it is not tuned it can look bad but I have never questioned his work ethic.

Probably the best written thing about Ziyech I've seen. Lampard bought him to play in a 4-3-3, where he showed that he was a good player prior and his left foot will waste the team a lot of balls but at some point he'll come up with something amazing, he is the instrument that our managers didn't know how to use.

I think it was Dinamo Zagreb when he put in one of the least interested performances I’ve seen in a while, absolutely disgusting.

It always amazes me how different some people see things. His work ethic the past 12 months has ben appalling, his "effort" in games unprofessional at the least and frankly he has been stealing a wage and can f**k right off.

It is quite obvious that Ziyech defensive work rate is suspect. It has been the same since day one. He is a willing presser, not so much at running behind. However, in this wc, he has clearly shown more willingness to run back.

RW - Callum Hudson Odoi.

Some of our best football was him and Reece linking up.

Going by these Stats i am not sure if CHO is the answer either. 30% shot accuracy and 25% crossing. Ziyech 36% and 18% respectively from 51 games. Its pretty pi$$ poor from both tbh.

Surely the club can work with Milan on some sort of discount on Leao?

Apparently Milan are not interested anymore after signing the Belgium lad in the summer.

Three weeks later and @coco's comments proved even more true!

Ziyech's main ability is being able to whip in a dangerous cross into the box. Take that away and he is completely redundant, with possibly the worst body language I have seen in a Chelsea player (although Havertz is close on his heels).

Kovacic is a player who seems to divide the Chelsea supporters as some see him as a top midfielder. But for me, as good as he looks at times carrying the ball, the stat of 5 goals in 200+ appearances and little in way of assists, sums him up. Continuously loses the ball in dangerous areas and when played alongside Jorginho, and against good sides like City, you know you are going to be totally outplayed and given a lesson in football.

I would offload Ziyech NOW - he has now place at Chelsea and as Coco rightly said, we won't challenge for the PL with players like this.

Kovacic has everything, except for an actual end product, which is quote crucial for a midfielder.

As frustrating as he can be, he has proven again in recent matches that he is the only one who is able to create something out of nothing. His crossing is top class. He made 1 assist which should have been 2 assists for the same player. He did that brilliant ball for Aubameyang against Forest who scuffed it. And especially when Havertz is on the pitch, he is a bonus due to Havertz aerial ability. In fact with current injuries, I would actually like to see a trio of Mudryk, Havertz and Ziyech. Think they would compliment each other well.

2 decent performances on the spin, shouldve really had another match winning assist too.

Seems too little, too late though. I can only see 1 of Ziyech, Pulisic, Sterling, and CHO being here next season, and my money is on Sterling tbh.
