November 29, 20223 yr I don't think anyone doubts his quality, though a couple of games in a so far weak world cup doesn't make a player a quality player. Most of us in here, or at least some, doubt his commitment and complain about his attitude.
November 29, 20223 yr He has a great left foot and if we ever switch to a 4-3-3 again he could wrap things up for us on that right hand side.
November 29, 20223 yr He won us like 9-12 points last season through his goals whilst the entire team player like sh*t. He isn't as poor as some make out but it is evident the team needs to be built around him for him to succeed. Until then, he will always be a moments player. I think considering our aspirations we shouldn't building a team around any single player. He's on two years, correct? We still should be looking to get around 30-40m for him.
November 29, 20223 yr Our best football in the last 2 seasons were when Ziyech and James playing on the right, then we never got that combination back. With the 5 subs this season, we should and could have gambled a bit more with the attacking players, instead of being predictable. If the front 3 don't work out, sub 1 or 2 at HT, instead of 15 minutes to go and we expect Pullisic or Ziyech to do a rescue mission.

December 1, 20223 yr To be honest, he's not doing much different now than what he does for us. The difference is that the world cup isn't played at 100mph like it is in the Premier League. Ziyech is basically just a bad fit for Premier League football.

He's just a much better player in a 4-3-3 and with enough freedom given to him. Lampard knew he would fit in that system. The World Cup probably does have a lower pace in comparison to the PL, even so I think that the majority of players in Qatar experience every match there with more intensity, most teams don't play together as much as every player spends time with his teammates in club football and that doesn't make things easier. Of course it's easier if you hold on to the same style for years but most teams don't get to have a spine like Spain has with Busquets and where new breakthrough talents like Pedri and Gavi can just fit right in.
December 2, 20223 yr I can't stand the guy, but even he is performing in Qatar. Perhaps we should change the Cobham water supplier.
December 6, 20223 yr Hopefully AC Milan are still interested and we can do some kind of swap deal for Leao.

Won’t be too quick to get rid of him, there is a lack of RW in world football at present. Signing Leao just further complicates things as he is a LW, a position we already have Sterling.
December 6, 20223 yr Forget about position and systems. Where is that work rate at Chelsea. This is who pays him. When you get a start show you care to stay in the team.

December 6, 20223 yr He's a good player when he's on, and as people said it's difficult to find a similar type of player at RW, so I'd keep him until end of the season. If we play 4 at the back, Sterling\Ziyech\Pullisic will all prosper.

Personally, I think his performances at the World Cup are a good opportunity to get a good sale out of him in January.

Some players need confidence from the coach to thrive. His national tram coach just praised how much he works for the team & sacrifices himself. He's been playing really well for his country at the world cup.

Peak Jose used to be the best at this.
December 7, 20223 yr If we get offered £15m+ off the back of this WC we should bite their hands off for it.
December 7, 20223 yr I'm always careful to separate club football and international football. Some players will always look really good on the international scene, then at club level aren't that good. Look at Batshuayi, for Belgium he looks pretty good, but we all know he was average as they come at club level.
December 7, 20223 yr Thing is Ziyech is arguably one of the players of the tournament. Batshuayi has only ever looked 'good' for Belgium. 6 hours ago, RIP Mourinho said: If we get offered £15m+ off the back of this WC we should bite their hands off for it. We should try to break even if I am being honest. He's still a very effective player when utilized properly, as Ajax and Morocco have shown. Off the back of this world cup, his market value should rise.
