RLC is a shadow of a footballer today. Everyone had a loong break but no one looked worse than he did.

Well, 12 months of not playing any competitive football will do that. It's going to be a long time before Loftus-Cheek get's anywhere near his best.

Why is it our only attacking tactic is passing it to the wing and crossing? We play decent football from the midfield up to the final third then suddenly everyone is in the box and yet no one wants to score

Apparently Lampard played this team because it was the same set of players who played well against QPR. Obviously a friendly like that is different to competitive league football.

Hopefully Gilmour will come on and score twice again in that case !

Honestly you gotta stretch a whole lot if you want to blame the goal on Kepa. The defense did nothing, 1 cross Rudi wasn't even marking the target man and it went wide, 1 shot nobody tried to block and Kepa saved it, 1 cross and Kepa saved a clear tap-in only to find that nobody was there but 3 Villa players.

We just need to score. That is it. We've come close. Now close is not enough.

I feel karma might win this one. They should have lost to Sheffield.

Nothing to do with karma really, we have been woeful in the final third

True. But I feel Lamps should have played him in the last 15mins for now to slowly build his form back. Throwing him in the deep end has proven to be the wrong choice

Did Gilmour not start in that game then, as he scored twice?

We need to be more direct.

Aston Villa have made it hard for us in fairness with the parked bus. Most of the time they defended with 11 men far behind their halfway line.
So space is automatically limited.

Definitely. It does seem like an odd decision to chuck him in so soon.

Thought azpi and mount were at fault, let both of their players run in behind them.

Ah OK - sorry !

Yes - many would say on paper that today's choice is our best midfield, but absolutely not the case for me ... but I'm afraid I wouldn't have Jorginho in there either !

Our defense needed a serious looking at. Having all the best attackers in the world mean nothing if we're going to let 3 opposition having a free for all in front of our goal
