I've easily seen about 20 games this season where this has happened, even when we win games, we'll dominate a team, and concede from a set piece.

Gilmour is mentally very fast and because of that our second phase play is a lot quicker and in turn opponents have less time to get into space. Look at how our first two Vs Everton came.

By the time we get it to the final 3rd Villa are back in shape because we're too slow getting it forward.

Lack of quality in attack from fullback is buggering us aswell.

Dominated the ball, but it means nothing if you're going to do nothing with it. Very poor attacking play from us in that first half. One half into the restart and nothing has changed from our point of view with this set of players.

So much meaningless possession, thinking that if we somehow kick it around enough, the 8 defending players in the box will disappear. Our lack of threat up front then lets teams be more adventurous on the breaks and defence isn't good enough to deal with it

Well, nothing has changed then.

Unbelievable that they are leading really. They've barely crossed midfield but scores one of the few times they do.

We are going nowhere without some key additions in defence and goalkeeper.

The initial cross lands about 3 meters away from Kepa's goalline. He should come collect or punch away that cross all day long.

Stupid goal to get conceded. Kepa has done well in the first chance, but our defense left him alone in the second chance and they scored. Marking players is the basic of defending.

Our attacking trio is struggling, especially RLC. 

Good to see Kante playing in his position, you can't dribble on him. Mount and Kovacic are doing good as well.

Pulisic and Abraham in the second half for RLC and Giroud. We can't lose points today, this game is a must win for us.

Take out Kova and RLC, in with Billy and Pulisic. If Tammy can play, take out Giroud. That's all we can do.

Loftus-Cheek (especially) and Pulisic are going to need time. No proper competitive football for almost a year for Loftus-Cheek. Months of no competitive football for Pulisic. The team does look rusty. Mount has stood out the most. Let us hope we can win this. Just get the win.

Exactly what i said before the game.. Kante offers nothing against a team that parks the bus. Gilmour and pulisic need to come on for kante and Rlc ASAP

RLC is a shadow of a footballer today. Everyone had a loong break but no one looked worse than he did.

Bit sluggish upon our return and yet another set piece goal conceded!

A bit more energy and movement in the final third is needed. Surprised if we don't see Pulisic and Abraham early. 

With 5 subs no excuse not to change early.

They gladly give us the ball we want the ball. Albeit us roaming around their box we are highly ineffective. They have their setpieces and they used it well. They were better than us in the first half.

I disagree. When Gilmour came in, he was showing us what we have been missing for much of the season. He was forcing us to play at a quicker tempo. Look at us today, we are seeing a lot of the ball, but there isn't a single player out there changing the pace of the game, it's so slow. Gilmour dictated the pace of the game when he came in.

Ruben Is A Little Off The Pace, But I Feel He's Not In His Preferred Position, I'd Of Had Him In The Midfield 3 With Kante And Kovacic, But Take Him Off And Bring Pulisic On To Play On The Wing

Real sarri performance. Reminds me so much of west ham last season. 

Expect another frustrating half.

Apparently Lampard played this team because it was the same set of players who played well against QPR. Obviously a friendly like that is different to competitive league football.

Jorginho on paper is our best midfielder, stats show it.

Standard Chelsea - Kepa can’t keep a clean sheet, defeated by a ball over the top, attack are completely toothless the closer they get to the penalty area. Welcome back premier league football. Here’s to a standard come from behind finish to end this sh*t show. 

Still 45 minutes to play, pretty sure we can score one but we need better balls into the box. Maybe with James and Pulisic in we could create more chances. I really like Mount and Kanté game's so far. The center back position HAS to be our priority right now, there's no way we can compete for for any trophies with those 4 guys...
