No chance Tomori is getting sold, but i think he's definitely getting loaned out somewhere.

Thing is though, im sure that you pair any one of Rudiger/Christensen/Zouma with Silva and they will instantly look better. Its only when they are together they look absolutely horrific, but I think you pair them next to a true leader and it will definitely look better. Would definitely still cash in on them given the chance though, except maybe Christensen who definitely still has the highest ceiling of those 3 but just hasn't been living upto it at all.

I much prefer that too, frogs trying to ruin our fun,  it would be a massive disappointment, he is a key signing imo, this week could see a triple signing announcement. Let’s go.

2 years of learning from Thiago Silva should in theory be the perfect solution for Tomori, AC and Zouma.

I think listening to Frank last season, he was hinting their isn't enough leadership on the pitch, during a crisis when we needed a JT, too many times we became oh so passive.

Making Silva captain will be very embarrassing for the other players but I have to agree with it. Azpilicueta is a great player, legend but terrible as captain, Jorginho probably can't even communicate with the refs, Kante is too shine and quiet and the rest are even more pathetic options. It's sad that a new player from different country, that most likely doesn't speak English, will be your captain but that's the right thing to do.

This is a shrewd transfer from frank. I get that he is old however all our centre backs have been poor and Thiago at his age is still better than them. This could give us the solidity we need for a season or 2 while we take our time to find a long term replacement or wait for one of our younger players to fully develop on loan.

I dont think Silva needs to be the oficial captain to be the leader the team needs. Would definitelly be akward for the players that have been here for a few years

Silva getting the Captain's band is all over the news...IF it's true then Dave will need to show restraint and his usual dignity...

If he does come I think he’ll become vice captain, I can’t see Azpi being stripped of it for no reason. IMO those reports are a load of stirring sh*t. 
 

I’m still to see a Silva helicopter though so its not even close to completion.

This makes the most sense because then if Azpi does get dropped for James it's an easy get out for making Silva captain.

I find it hard to believe that after one season with the first team James is going to outright take Azpis’ starting position. Correct me if I’m wrong but Azpi has played more consecutive league matches for the team than anyone else in the squad right now. Granted he hasn’t had a lot of competition for the right back role since Brana left. I just don’t see James taking his spot yet and turning over his captaincy to Silvia, someone just walking into the team.

Excellent footballer who can lead by example maybe.

Not sure he's the ball breaking vocal presence we need though. His captaincy of Brazil didn't go too well as I recall.

Captain usually comes pretty natural. I think Silva and Azpilicueta will have massive respect toward each other. If Azpi sees Silva taking the group he has no hesitations to give the armband to him. I think Dave will be in the role.
