February 28, 20233 yr Guess is this one more “injury” for potter to use when he still has 4 CB available.

Silva has been lucky since he joined because he hasn't had much disruption when it comes to keeping his fitness at a consistent level. This changes that. It's these types of injuries for players in the late stages of their career that usually start a chain reaction. I've seen it with countless players over the years, hopefully this injury isn't that one for Silva.
February 28, 20233 yr I'd say wrap him up for this season and get him going for the next at a reduced role as this one is pretty much over. Unless we go through Dortmund and reach the CL semis by a miracle at the moment.

March 8, 20233 yr I'd like to see that alternate universe where we replaced Carvalho with Silva instead of Luiz (still love the geezer).

I'd have loved to have had both, they were an unbelievable partnership in the national side. I wonder if we didn't bother back then or we tried and we wasn't interested?
April 19, 20233 yr I see even the great man has had his say on our current predicament. Chelsea: Thiago Silva says club need to 'stop and put a strategy in place' - BBC Sport This is unprecedented in recent times. Just seen this has been mentioned already in the Boehly thread. April 19, 20233 yr I'm sure Thiago regrets signing his extension. Incredible player, he deserves much better than this and I appreciate him calling out how poorly the club is being run.
April 19, 20233 yr Maybe in reply to Todd's visit to the dressing where he allegedly singled out one player and told him it wasn't good enough... people in Glasshouses shouldn't throw stones and all that 🤠
April 19, 20233 yr I love Silva, he's a real one. I don't even care I would happily consider him a Chelsea legend at this point, so disappointing he has to be playing for us during these times. I'm glad he's calling it as it should be.
April 25, 20233 yr Some rumours out of Brazil are saying Silva and his family would like to return to Brazil this summer, and that he is considering activating a clause in the new deal he signed to opt out of staying.

Hmm, after his performance against bournemouth. This is not such bad idea. Silva is probably my pick for POTY but that was very concerning

He's been by far our most consistent player since he got here, all of our defenders so far bar Badiashile have had stinkers, he's entitled to a bad game. Edited May 7, 20233 yr by Victor90
May 7, 20233 yr Signs now that it’s slowing down .. but what’s a players.. had we signed him a few years back or immediately after JT he would have won us a title.

I don't care if you got beaten or make wrong decision. It is what it is. But not closing on crosses is a big no no.
May 9, 20233 yr Still think he's the best player in the squad for that central role in a back 3, have to see how he goes on until the end of the season in a back 4
May 11, 20233 yr 2 hours ago, Sconnie Blue said: You could tell from what he said in that interview he was not happy with how the club is being run. I expect his contract is mutually terminated and he goes back to Brazil. Us moving to a back 4 won't be a help to him either.
May 11, 20233 yr Leaving now couldn't happen at a worse time. Far and away our best player this season.
