Should have offered him 7.5 years contract, including the option to be part of the coaching team. A piece of good news, without spending 100M.

If all goes well Silva, Fofana, Badiashille and Colwill will make quite the quartet.

I think even that was exaggerated tbh, he made an early mistake that led to a goal and that was it, I still thought he was our best defender that day.

Just when I thought this season couldn’t get any worse, of course we lose our best player.

Thiago Silva has sustained knee ligament damage and is therefore out for quite a while.

Great pity, but at least we have plenty of cover at centre back  ... still leaves us with Badiashile, W.Fofana, Koulibaly and Chalobah to cover the 2 positions ... 

Sadly means we see Koulibaly on the pitch more for his supposed authority.

Really we should be going into all games now with Badiashile and Fofana and let them build a partnership together ready for next season. Chalobah filling in for Fofana so he doesn't get injured again when needed.

Adds more sh*t luck to the pile of sh*t luck this season. Let's hope that Fofana doesn't get injured again as then we are lacking in defence. Never known a season like this with injuries and fortune.

Yes good point ... Wes did look decent against Tottenham fortunately. Potter also has Chalobah at his disposal. 

I'm half expecting him to put Aubameyang at centre half mind you ... 

Oh dear. That is very, very bad news. 

At least we now have the opportunity to try out our [presumably] future Fofana-Badiashile partnership in the league. 

As for the Champions' League... time for the European master Trevoh Chalobah to step forward. 

I wonder if we’ve seen his last game for us. That’s a terrible injury, regardless of severity and at 38 years old, the body doesn’t exactly repair better. Even simply regaining PL match fitness after a period of post op recovery will be a massive challenge for him.

Its only 6 weeks. He'll probably be back on the pitch before the end of this season and he's still here for next season too.

I want to see Badiashile and Fofana tested without Silva.
