I thought we played quite well given this is the 2nd game and Liverpool are at full strength. Quite even really. Havertz and Werner are a joy to watch, they will soon step it up I am sure!

Kepa was. It getting that ball. It was Mane’s all day and he would have scored.

Tired of this. Feels like the new season that is yet to start. 
- Injured players, talk to death. How do we sign players though that aren’t injured but need weeks of conditioning. Thiago goes straight into bench 

- Players out of position

- Too defensive. The midfield 3 offer so little as a trio

- Too slow. Too many touches

- Individual mistakes 

Have to remind myself its a marathon not a sprint. I bet Liverpool score right after the restart. We’re too nice. Too soft. Zero clue on the dark arts. 

On the plus side, Werner may have solved our left back problems

Watching it live it looked to me like Mane was getting there first, taking it past Kepa and there as no way Christensen would have been able to do anything about it if he had let him go.

I've seen the replays since and nothing has changed my mind.

Completely agree. Let’s examine the counterfactual where Christensen doesn’t commit, Mane rounds Kepa and it’s 0-1. Which would see Christensen more vilified?

We don't have the defence to press teams high, we've got defenders who are tactically and positinally naive.

Of course there is a doubt, we can't be 100% sure of anything. There are many ways that could have played out. The ball is moving away from Mane, so there is just as much of a chance that Kepa gets there first. Christensen doesn't need to take a red card there at all.

you’re winning 1-0 in the last minute the guy goes clean through, you can bring him down or let him run clean through on the keeper - you think it’s the right thing to let him go through? Of course it’s not. You stop the immediate threat which is the goal. We’re still in the game now. If it was 1-0 Liverpool, we’re done in my opinion.

If Kepa was a defender Christensen would of been given a yellow as he wasnt the last defender. All we had to do was give Kepa a blue shirt.

Has AC never heard of shoulder to shoulder? Suspect this would have been his last game for a while with Silva coming in hopefully next match. So the 3 match ban won't be too problematic, but what a crazy bit of defending.

This might be controversial - and I love the man - but Frank is getting off very easily here. If any other manager had employed such a kick and rush, punt it up front for 1 person to chase, style, then he would be absolutely slaughtered.

I am so pissed of. We have approached this game with such a small club mentality showing Liverpool far more respect than they deserve. 
 

Leeds were far more fearless at Anfield than we have been at home. That is absolutely embarrassing.
