I would take Havertz off. Mount will be needed more than ever for his work rate and pressing. Havertz has been a passenger again, he's done nothing, and his work rate and how much he is struggling to hold the ball would just bring constant pressure on us.

He was playing as a “9” though and had zero service. I don’t think you can ask for more.

You can't press them up the pitch without leaving yourself open at the back, the moment we pushed up it took a simple long ball for Mane to get in behind.

We don't have the defence to press teams high, we've got defenders who are tactically and positinally naive.

I said press. We continue to let them play as they want. Got nothing to do with being high more to do with stepping off.

This might be controversial - and I love the man - but Frank is getting off very easily here. If any other manager had employed such a kick and rush, punt it up front for 1 person to chase, style, then he would be absolutely slaughtered.

absolutely dross play.

Thank you. Well said.

Very difficult viewing first 45. We created very little and look so uncomfortable trying to play the ball around at the back. Liverpool do it with ease.

Now down to 10 men and you have to fear for the outcome. Suppose we will sacrifice Havertz who has been rather anonymous (as has Mount) but at least Kante is playing like two players again - our best player by a country mile and some folk were happy to sell him!

Come On The 10 Men!!

Tbf liverpool are under no pressure until they reach out half, whereas we are being pressed all the way up to kepa.

Scary that Thiago is coming on.

Insane that he's ready one day after being signed while we are still waiting for half of our signings.

Clearly, your inability to actually read is getting in the way of the facts.

How on earth does Frank making a poor decision result in hating him? Weirdo.

If you simply said frank made a poor decision, maybe. Not my inability to read mate it's your choice of words, you dimwit

Of course there is a doubt, we can't be 100% sure of anything. There are many ways that could have played out. The ball is moving away from Mane, so there is just as much of a chance that Kepa gets there first. Christensen doesn't need to take a red card there at all.

Well of course we can't say 100%. All sorts could happen, Mane could trip over his own feet, etc but going off what normally happens in that situation then the conclusion is Mane gets there first and takes it past Kepa.

It's either Kepa gets the red, if Mane did decide to go down after reaching the ball, or Christensen does a foul to stop an even worse situation occurring and hopes to get away with it.

The only problem I have with the sutiation is that Christensen doesn't even try to make the tackle seem like a mistake. He just full on rugby tackles him.

The speed of that first half was incredible. A few half chances here and there, but you have to say that we never really looked in control. You always felt like we were one moment away from being opened up and so it was a simple long ball, we fell asleep all over the pitch and it cost us. I think Andreas panicked. But 10 men is better than being down 1-0.

I'm intrigued by the Havertz in place of Giroud option in the middle. Seems to have worked okay so far. It will be curious to see who comes off now.

I suspect it will be Kovacic or Jorginho and we will switch to a 4-3-2 with Mount tucking into midfield and Havertz and Werner working wide and centrally.

It's not over. I suspect we will still be a threat. But it will be harder.

You press as a team, you can't have 3 players pressing and everyone else sitting back, you either press or you sit back can't half arse both.

I think you’re letting your dislike of Christensen cloud your judgment...

you’re winning 1-0 in the last minute the guy goes clean through, you can bring him down or let him run clean through on the keeper - you think it’s the right thing to let him go through? Of course it’s not. You stop the immediate threat which is the goal. We’re still in the game now. If it was 1-0 Liverpool, we’re done in my opinion.

Those are two totally different situations. You can't compare fouling a player and taking a red card when you are 1-0 up in the last minute to taking a red card at 0-0 just before half time.

I'd lose Jorginho in this, not like we'll have the ball now, win it be direct. Bring Mount back, 4-3-2 with Havertz and Werner up top. Havertz and Werner both have pace and goal scoring experience.

Not sure why Zouma and Christensen were 30 + apart on that ball

no doubt and if you have a high line and back off what happens.

This argument is logically flawed. On the reasoning that Mane wasn’t getting their first, it’s a yellow. Presumably you’d have been ok with a yellow and the risk of committing the foul   would then have been justified?

He said never?! So it’s relevant for what he said. So if we get a point it was the wrong decision still in your opinion?

Back in the day when we were winning the league with the old guard we played a ton of these top games, created nothing and won them with one moment of brilliance. I am guessing that Mane run was that.

You are simply a moron who is completely incapable of showing any criticism to the manager because we was a legend as a player.

After last season, we should never have been starting this season with Kepa and Christiensen anywhere near our squad. If you want to adopt a seal-like happy clapping attitude, then that’s your own decision but don’t critique anyone wanting better for our club.

f**king hell... my sides.. you are so hilarious. And they say woman aren't funny.

Then don't be so defeatist in calling the game over. And if you insist in insulting women, at least spell it correctly.

I am so pissed of. We have approached this game with such a small club mentality showing Liverpool far more respect than they deserve.

Leeds were far more fearless at Anfield than we have been at home. That is absolutely embarrassing.

I actually think this is the right approach. My only problem is we have not exploited the openings we created. It'd be foolish to go gung ho against Liverpool, because they're very deadly in attack

He could hold the ball up better when he gets it, move a bit more. He's looked lost in these first two games. He's going to need time to settle before we see the best of him, but he's got to do the basics better.

Mane was going to fall either way. We either lose Kepa, Christensen or the goal.

That being said, I don't understand why Christensen played so high
