Erling Haaland

Eton Blue at the Chelsea Megastore

So anyone remember when we spent £100,000, a club record fee on Tony Hateley, we thought we were mad then, apart from his head he was dreadful; now we are talking £150,000,000 on an unproven kid...well lets hope he scores more goals than Hateley did with a massive total of 9 in 33 appearances before being shipped off to Liverpool.

Fabrizio randomly tweeting about him last night and now this. I’d be trusting ‘cfcnewspage’ as a source to be honest; he cooks decent recipes. There’s something going on behind the scenes, the silence is deafening. I think we will pull him out of the hat within the next two weeks.

Donyell Malen being a like-for-like replacement for Haaland at centre forward was as obvious as it comes; was never a Sancho replacement.

(maybe my intentional pessimism is working like it did on the 29th May!)

So Dortmund will now reject our first bid, and wait patiently for the £20 million add ons to be included.  Roman won’t be happy, Mr leaker will be swimming with the fish’s tonight

That’s exactly what I thought. Made me laugh.

New content! I'll go right away on twitter to post "I'm told Roman isn't happy with Mr. Leaker so he'll send him on an underseas trip. If it's not a trip then I'm told Mr Leaker will become fish food."

Seriously, those damn "insiders" should just shut the f*** up and come here instead start a thread cause they seem to know f*** all like ourselves.

I think the majority of this deal has probably been done 3 weeks in advance of anything we read online.

I’m going back to being pessimistic on it now; no chance he signs for tier 2 Chelsea over tier 1 Real Madrid or Barcelona. The latter both offering him a better platform to win the Champions League he so desires with a young, prime, energetic, vibrant team; not to mention both with world class managers.

In days past Lukaku's historic thread of 129 pages, Stones 106, Pogba 100 and even Sandro with over 60...Haaland has a long, long way to go yet...we could be back here in January; if the pen is mightier than the sword then Roman needs to sign the cheque before I fall asleep...

You can't fall asleep , we play a friendly tomorrow. Our loan army and under 18s will play, but still, it's real football.

To be fair, most of that Sandro thread was me.

It is quite difficult to not feel so underwhelmed at the moment with the club's activity, but then you realise that the likes of City, Liverpool and the rest of the bunch are yet to make moves. It's all a patience game isn't it. However, if nothing happens within the next 2 weeks, the club should shut the door for this window; there's simply no point in bringing in panic buys. The lack of prominent Haaland news is far too much on a knife edge to predict; it could mean a deal is being struck; it could be (the more likely option) that there is sweet f**k all going to happen with it.
