And that is in no way shape or form a good thing. Voice your opinion about Lampard for sure, but Tuchel doesn't deserve any abuse, and it's not really fair to give him any. The whole "circus continues" thing is perfectly fine, I think fans have a right to stick it to the board, but Tuchel should not be getting the Rafa Benitez treatment.

Agree. For the record I don't think that abuse would have been directed at Tuchel. Rafa was given a hard time for other reasons. Any abuse would have been rightly directed at the board tonight. Nevertheless I imagine Tuchel benefited from not having to witness that sort of atmosphere for his first game in charge.

Agreed. It also doesn't help when some of the few players who have actually played quite well this season were benched in favour of players whose terrible form was a factor behind Lampard's sacking

Yup. I noticed that too. Even Alonso got on the bench. It would have been exactly like Rafa's first home game. That said I maintain if the home fans had have been around we probably wouldn't have sacked Frank because everyone would have still been backing him.

If this turns back into Sarriball and we start leaving Mount, James etc. out of the team then what exactly was the point of the Lampard era and what was the point of sacking Sarri?

The only comfort I take from tonight was that Kante was injured. Hopefully he comes back in at the expense of Jorginho and we start to show a bit more speed and impetus.

I would love to see our midfielders be more brave on the ball, rather than playing back or sideways make a turn and find some space to move into. Mount did that when he came on, and his clever turn in the box almost created an opportunity. Ziyech for me needs to be better, he looks half the player he was at Ajax currently.

It all comes from confidence though and I'm hoping TT can instill that in the players when he gets longer training sessions with them.

Sometimes rather than pushing all our players up we should entice the opposition forward and him them on the counter. I don't mind possession but it needs to have a purpose.

Incredibly frustrating game with Wolves parking the bus, some promising signs though, on to the next one hopefully start creating a bit more, picking up some points and getting a nice run going UTC

Strange you leave out the last game they won..

In football the form stat is always last 6 games. I could go back to start of the season, it still looks bad.

Not sure why the negativity.

Looked far better without actually getting anything from the game.

We created chances finally thank f**k.

They (wolves)didn't really look like scoring. Recently everytime the opposition got the ball I felt they would score.

Not sure why kai is getting so much sh*t thought he look really good in stints. But you cannot expect him to create anything if every f**ker is standing still, hopefully tuchel can beat that outta them.

If you can't understand the negativity after watching that, then I can't help you. The thing I can't understand is how anybody can watch that game and say it was a good performance.

Rafa deserved to have a hard time after all the sh*t he said about our fans and club. Tuchel, however, just happened to join the club after a club legend got the sack, very unfair to start giving him sh*t because of it.

I get that people on here want to vent and moan that Frank is gone, but the constant name calling is just petty. On this forum we set a precedent against stuff like that, how many people get sh*t on here for saying "Dross Barkley" or "Callum Hudson-Ohdear", whatever else, it's never tolerated. It shouldn't be tolerated now, we should be getting behind the manager and hope he does well, even if you still protest against the board.

More points dropped. Is there any other way to look at it?

We didn't lose. For once we didn't help a team to regain some form and confidence.

How did the forms of Rudiger,Azpi,Jorginho etc. actually were a factor in Lampard's sacking when they barely played this season?

Pretty sure I didn't mention players by name. But Jorginho played in 2/3 of our league games so far. I'd hardly call that not starting. I was also referring to Havertz who was brought in by the board and has been a total flop so far. Azpi and Rudiger both featured in Lampard's last games and like you say didn't play much this season before that.

Absolutely spot on about wolves negativity, i did mention that at half time, i'm not sure, what you would do, except pass, pass , pass, and hope for an opening, what i haven't really heard, is what the 'Keyboard' managers would do different, total possession means they aint got the ball ffs...

And yet Nuno nearly pulled off a masterstroke tonight as when they did counter, they came closest to scoring.

This possession based football without actual end product in the final third is so dull it is ruining the game. You HAVE to have players that can create and open opponents up. Even the most defensive and negative teams can be opened up, but not it seems by some of our average players. Oh how we are crying out for a Hazard right now.

Wolves will be more than happy with the point tonight and I guess we should be relieved it wasn't all 3.

If you can honestly point at this game and say we played worse than against Fulham,Leicester,Villa,Arsenal etc. then I can't help you.We ofc didn't have the best of games, but we actually tried to play a bit through the middle and in between the lines with some through balls. It didn't work most of the times ,but at least we tried to do it unlike in the last two months.

If you play a back 5 which it essentially was, why do you still need 2 defensive midfielders especially against a team that just wanted to survive.

Bizarre first game for the new manager. Still far too early to judge him though.

Perhaps we didn't play worse but we didn't improve either, and we were facing a team on a very poor run of form. Hopefully we will see some clearer signs of Tuchel's Chelsea against Burnley once we has had more opportunity to work with the squad.

Considering our results prior to this game ,our form in general and considering our new manager came in yesterday I think that it's just good we didn't lose. You seem to forget that we as well are a team on a very, very poor run of form.

One thing is clear, Tuchel maybe a tactician extraordinaire, he might go on and win us some major silverware, but dont tell me he did his homework on our players in the last 48 hours.

One afternoon on hear from his travel lodge room and he would of learned everything he wanted about our players.

One of the biggest legends of the club was sacked ludicrously a couple of days ago. We then turn out that dross. Let us moan a bit will you?

Fair enough ?. It’s never as bad as we think.

Agreed it wasn't the worst result obviously. Having said that, before Lampard was sacked on Monday, I was genuinely confident that we would pick up a win tonight. Perhaps it was misguided optimism but I think players like Gimour and Mount would have brought enough energy to make a difference.

Or he could've read a few posts from Gol15 and that would've explained why Jorginho played the full 90.
