Sheff Utd v Chelsea (PL) Sun 7th Feb 2021 19:15 GMT

Another day with night mode on - another win. Around 70% possession for most of the game, would have kept a clean sheet if not for an own goal by Rudi...

Road to top 4!

2 Manchester United 23 19 45
3 Leicester City 23 14 43
4 Liverpool 23 15 40
5 Chelsea 23 14 39

Huge save by Mendy. He is very comfortable and steady back there, as long as we don’t roll the ball into our home we met (ha ha).

I will certainly take the three points. Still wish we could put some teams away late, but at least the back line is steadier than early on the season.

Back in the battle for the Top Four!!

Come on you Chelsea!!

We’re fifth by virtue of a better GD.

Before KO we were behind spurs by GD. Alot of teams on 14/15 around us when we was running away with it before in terms of GD

as I expected prior to the game this was always going to be tricky.

and we nearly cocked up, with rudiger being a fool.

end of the day give me games like this with 3 points over beautiful football.

1 point behind top4

Great save from Mendy at the end. Again looking shakey with Christensen at the centre of the back 3 with no physical presence.

Happy for 3 points. Both teams gifted the other a goal but the run by Werner and the finish by Mount were the moments of quality that mattered.

Interesting that for all the carry on about Mount only playing because of Lampard favouritism, here he is getting picked by the new manager and winning us the game again. Maybe he's just a good hard-working player who doesn't need Twitter hype and a 50m pricetag?

Dunno about Red but that's definitely a yellow, of course Kevin not so much a Friend didn't think so though the pathetic c**t that he is

from the 2nd replay looked like it to me. not high but he could have take Kova’s foot out. have to watchit again though

Big 3 points, but it was not great to watch, and if we got a sucker punch in stoppage time, i dont think we couldve complained, since we spent the whole second half, turning down openings in order to keep possession. Low risk football, is ultimately more risky when you dont look to finish teams off.

On the positives, we are now very much back in the mix, and with another couple of very winnable fixtures on the horizon. 3 wins on the spin is fantastic, and we need to keep this going now. Mount and Werner both had good games today, and I thought Christiensen had a great game aswell.

Inevitably we were going to see a dip in quality. Yet we won - I take it as a positive but work to be done. Interesting that against one of the most physical teams in the league, Christensen didn’t once get outmuscled. And ex-Silva is just by far our best CB on the ball. Cue howler next time he gets picked obvs.

Now we’re ahead of Spurs via the joy of three points.

Good 3 points, but a bit too squeaky for my liking. Don't think Tuchel got the starting XI right today, and the Kante for Werner substitution was a weird one. I think we'd be better off selling Kante ASAP while he still has some perceived value.

Alonso > Chilwell all day long in this formation.

Thought Mount, Kovacic and Werner were the stand outs today. Christensen tidy, Rudiger a mixed bag LOL. Some good stuff but you can't have brain farts like that one at this level. Great alertness from Mendy at the end !

MOTM Timo.

You think that was comfortable? Jesus. Looks like you're the only one!!

Yeah that was anything but comfortable.

Great away win, on a streak now which is just what the form doctor ordered.  Also breeds confidence yet strangely the curse of the Chelsea strikers continues, wasn’t as an imposing performance all the time but only a mistake got their goal. Had to suffer personally at the end though for a good long ten minutes if I was a smoker would been 1/2 a pack at least. Reckon bin dippers are there to be overtaken amazing what wins can do !

Routine victory, which we tried our best to make hard work.

Christensen had a decent game

Werner and Mount looked sharp

Rudiger brain fart gave them hope they really didn't deserve

How does Kevin Friend not see the challenge on Werner as a penalty without the aid of VAR?

Up to fifth there are harder challenges to come than the last four game mini revival and we will need to sharpen up in some areas of the pitch

The team seems happier...good to see those frozen out by Lampard getting a chance to show their worth...though Rudiger's OG was farcical...thought Christensen played well, and Werner may not have scored but he's contributing with a lot of assists...got some winnable games coming up which will help further bed in TT's game style...

Thought Christensen was solid and our best defender tonight.

f**king ridiculous to be sweating like that at the end.

We've got to stop trying to pass the ball into the net. Look at what Sheffield did to us, lashed the ball in there and hope for a lucky bounce or decent strike, made us so nervous.

Please, please, please, someone, Thomas, Petr, anyone tell them to shoot.

Other than that I'm very happy with the 3 points.
