What's with this negative outlook on everything lately?

We also had our chances in that game. Ziyech hit a squared ball right at De Gea, Giroud missed a great cross and was inches away. Mount had a moment of magic and realistically should've scored that chance. In the 2nd half we had a handful of chances that could've put the game to bed. But yes, lets talk about how lucky we were because United happened to f**k up two counter attacks...

I don't think I am being negative, I completely agree with you we had the better of the chances against United and if anyone deserved to win that game it was us although the draw was a fair result. The comments above were more in line with our style of play and it being very well suited to Liverpool, teams who have had success against Liverpool of late have been deep low blocks such as Burnley, Southampton & Everton (Yes I am going to ignore City as they are levels above everyone else). I will be hugely surprised if Tuchel looked to play on the counter and set up with a low block.

The likelihood is we go with the tried and tested formation & if their is a team which can exploit spaces left in behind the wingbacks then it's Liverpool. I hope our faltering frontline can cause similar issues for their backline because I can't see us keeping a clean sheet.

I felt against United we would win due to their terrible record against the top 6 and us carrying momentum from the Madrid fixture however with Liverpool I am not as optimistic.

I wasn't confident against United, but I wasn't confident against Atletico either. I'm more confident against this one due to how bad Liverpools defence has been this season. But I'm not expecting an easy game, that front 3 of theirs can cause anyone problems and isn't to be taken lighty.

But I agree, I can't see a clean sheet in this game, I think they'll score. That might bring the team out more and push them to actually attack and get something out of the game, rather than sitting back.

Regarding the United comment, fair enough, it just sounded as though you were saying we got off lightly against United, I disagree. It was a dull game by all means, but if any team deserves to win it, it was ours, we should've put our chances to bed. United really didn't get any good chances, they messed up good opportunities though.

Liverpool have a questionable defense but they are most vulnerable on the transition or with players running in behind, our build up is so slow at times that it'll allow them to get players behind the ball and close that gap between defense and midfield making it difficult for us exploit their defensive frailties.

I know it's unlikely but I hope Tuchel switches to a 4-3-3 and brings in Billy for the game.

Must have missed the part where both of us are considered Europa league cannon fodder.

Thursday nights should be reserved for Spurs, Arsenal, United etc to play on not us and the Champions.

Thursday night football should be made illegal. What the f**k is the point of Thursday other than a barrier in the way of Friday?

Thursday is the first proper drinking night of the weekend.....

I think that we will win tomorrow. But i'm also drunk so don't take me 100% seriously. I lost 1 percent.

A chance to close the gap with those ahead of us dropping points and Liverpool in poor form..........but we have been in these situations a ton of times in recent seasons and we never take advantage, so I can't say I will be shocked if Liverpool end up with a comfortable 2-0 victory.

It is also a chance for Liverpool as well as us. Will either of us take the chance?

A draw would be a good result tonight. Would have us in fourth place.

4-5-1

James          Christensen            Silva            Rudi

Jorginho         Kova
