What a tasty game this is set up to be. Much as we dislike them is great having Leeds back up for games like this.

This will be, without a doubt, the most offensive side we have face under TT. If we get it right we can thrash them, if we get it wrong...well the game could outscore the Everton vs Spurs cup game.

Could again see a bit of rotation and wouldn’t be surprised if Giroud gets a start here with Mason and Kia. 
Werner has played a lot of football and it could be his time for a rest. 
in the middle Kante comes in for whoever Tuchel wants to keep for Madrid. 
At the back he might give Dave a rest another who has played his fair share of late. 
 

4 days before Atletico, so far Tuchel does a very good rotation. I like the way he uses our players, maybe had only a bad choice against Southampton.

Players like Werner, James, Kovacic, Christensen might get a rest. Zouma might keep his spot for another game.

I can definitely see Werner being rested, Tuchel rarely picks the team I expect. We will need our best defence and a good counter against athletico where the big worry is the previously problematic kova/Kante combo. 

I might even play billy gilmour one  of the two games. That midfield duo whoever they are have to do a good job in the system or we can’t play out from the back. 
 We still sure as heck need need to win this. For me it’s a game for Tammy as I want to play havertz and Werner against athletico. Havertz has played very little so should be ready for more games. Mount has a great engine. 

Should be a fun game, this leeds team doesn't know how to play any other way. They are pretty fragile at the back, we should get plenty of chances against them. Not taking anything for granted, a respectable 2:0 win be awesome.

I like that a lot.

I can imagine Chilwell instead of Alonso, very attacking but I think Alonso will play against Atletico and maybe Chilwell fits better against Leed, no idea. But I've been burnt before with going on record that we'll likely never see James and Alonso in a starting lineup this season so what do I know!

This is the perfect game for a Werner, Mount, Havertz attack.

Exactly, they are open so let's hit their open spaces with our fast attacking options. We don't need Giroud as we won't be looking at a team defending with 10 thugs inside the box. If anything, I see Giroud better suited for Atlético as they'll set up more defensively.

This is the type of game where you can basically play a pace spam due to how Leeds play, United did it against them by giving Dan James his first start in months and he caused havoc.

Could be a good game to play Pulisic and Werner up top together but then again would be really harsh to bench Havertz after last night, even with Leti in mind.

Havertz is bloody quick, probably as quick as Pulisic. He definitely should start the game, I’d go for Mount Havertz Werner. Werner and Havertz to catch them on the counter.

True re: Giroud. I don't think Havertz should have problems playing three consecutive matches although I'm partial about starting him against Atleti. Just a feeling Zyiech may come into play there as an Ersatz-Mount; but given the fact that Kai and Hakim both operate on the different ends of the form scale I don't invest too much into the prediction game (for now..).

Agree about resting certain players and it means Mount and Jorginho are shoo-ins. Havertz i expect to start since he doesn’t need resting and based on form. Time instead to try and build some momentum. Maybe Giroud for the Atletico game so Werner again up top. Who knows but for the hell of it ?

Leeds plays a more open game which we should take full advantage of, we are heavy favorites in this match regardless of who plays. Even so it really would be a smart move to rest Kovacic here, maybe even Azpilicueta.

Yeah that and surely we want Giroud up against Madrid. They will end up being more open but they dont need to go gung ho early on so his experience should be invaluable. 

As has been said before Mount and Jorginho are suspend for the CL so makes sense they start this one.

SPEEEED! And give Kepa a game because corners shouldn’t be a big issue with Leeds. Save Silva Giroud Kante Alonso James Mendy for Athleti. Maybe even swap Rudi for Chris. Werner will score this game and end the curse forever ending Halaand/ new striker talks. So let it be written so let it be done! PLEASE!! Pretty please?

Time to rotate with 3 games in a week the majority of the squad will be involved at some point. 
jorg and mount are certain to start as both banned for Madrid and I’d rest Kante kova Christiansen Werner alonso Havertz  and maybe even Azip.

what an abundance of talent we have where you can almost virtually change the whole team and we still look strong.

 

 

Quite a few teams have recently complained about the Elland Road pitch and considering we are a possession oriented team that may impact our build up play in a similar way to the Barnsley game. Giroud may not be a bad shout as we may need to go longer at times to take the pitch out of the equation especially if we are struggling to play through the Leeds press on a terrible pitch.

I'd like to see a rest for Kova - max. a cameo if things don't go as expected, maybe play Mount for that position (otherwise Gilmore but haven't seen him except for Barnsley).

Pulisic could replace one of Werner/Havertz but I'd go with in-form players. Especiall since Havertz is fresh and should try to keep up his momentum.

Eventually we'll concede more goals in this game than in the previous 11 combined but I see this as a game where you "score one more than the opponent". ?
