We might be in the lead, but I have never seen so much pissing around at the back and 25yards from goal as I have tonight.  We are only leading because AM are so piss poor and how they are top of La Liga is head scratching.  Apart from Kante and Werner the rest of our team have been sloppy and poor.  Let's hope we see a better 2nd half because AM have nothing to lose now.   

Alonso, Kai and Kante ran over 6km in that first half.

Timo semi-blocked that cross, Kante headed it to Kai and boom, finally a swift attack and fast goal, I think I've waited to see that this whole season...

Bloody hell don't they squeal when they go down, i think that probably went against them for the penalty shout, too much drama shows its an act.

Our goal has a bittersweet feel to it. None of us would have expected it to take this long for Havertz, Werner and Ziyech to link up like that. It was one of the things I was looking forward to the most this season.

I was just about to make a joke about Ziyech needing a stadium roof to get the best out of him, then he scored. Lovely stuff! 

Atletico needed to score the two to progress so not a big change. No ET though. 

You can see Ziyech is not firing with all cylinders as his finish was not very strong. Ziyech two seasons ago finishes that with ease. Now it was just in.

i just wish chelsea players would be far more carefull in the penalty area since ATM are masters at pulling wool over refs eyes.

 

did they not beat Celtic a few years back via a iffy pen after diving all over the gaff ? Not that i feal sorry for Celtic on that aspect 

Cautiously optimistic so far - I feel like Atlético would do better if they actually fought for balls until the end of the passage rather than cheating. 

Is there anyone else in world football you’d want marshalling that midfield than N’Golo Kanté? Félix was about to score - could anybody else just nick it off his toe like Kanté did? 

I am also delighted to see Ziyech doing well - come on you listless bar steward! 

What a beautiful goal.  That's why we paid over 150 million for those 3.

I believe it's matter of confidence and mentality of a player. He hasn't scored a goal since October, it's almost a half year without a goal. It's a worrying record for an attacking player.

He failed in few short passes also, but today I could see little different in his game, more commitment, more passion. If we will get the best of him, we will get us a very quality player.

Azpi could of really cost us the game. Penalty and red card, he has to be doing better. Weve got away with one there

Great half, bar 1 ir 2 wobbles, Azpi especially couldve seen red and given a penalty away. 

But the press has been great, the passing has been great, Kante has been outstanding, he and Kovacic just took over midfield.

Werner with massive credit for the goal, busted a gut to block the cross, then ran the length of the pitch and squared it perfectly for Ziyech, also Havertz did well to play the initial pass. 

Need to keep this going.

Ziyech was a bit lucky with the shot if i'm being picky.

Chelsea ladies are playing some great football this season. Emma Hayes doing a great job. She might be a contender to manage the men's team in the future.

Feeling sorry for Celtic is a bannable offence. Not from the forum, from oxygen. 

I don't agree with the pundits calling that a pen for ATM, it's a contact sport and the contact on carasco was not enough for him to fall to the ground like that. 

He realised he wasn't going to get to the ball and flung himself to the ground.

Azpilicueta's slight touch speaks of his experience, that much he was always allowed to do, IMO that's not a penalty at all.
