I felt that Leicester really did a number on us today. When they played a back 3 that out of possession became a 5, we had nowhere to go. Too many times guys in midfield were looking for a forward pass but had nothing on. I'm worried about Tuesday night when it's very likely to be the same story. I'm hoping Tuchel will start Werner, Mount and Giroud as a front 3 and we get our wing backs going forward. 

It's going to be a tough end to the season, we could easily finish with nothing.  

Feels so disappointing after all the hard work against man City in the semi

We've done well this season with a poor team. When you think of all the great players we've had over the years, I can't say we've currently anyone close to being a great.

I'm not wedded to VAR if it improves the game - I haven't seen enough evidence of that yet. But I'm also not blaming VAR for us losing - its too convenient and ignores the other problems with the way Chelsea play at the moment. It's pointless having 60-70% possession every game if we can't put the ball in the net.

I feel your pain but we wont be complaining if it happened in our favour against Man City in the UCL Final. Leicester was destined to win the cup. I always felt tuesdays game was more important and i feel more confident about tuesday

It does highlight our short comings, TT has done an amazing job however when you got weaknesses they come the fore in big moments. 
 

i say go on a secure 4th and it has been a good season, build from there for next season. 
 

if we happen to win the champions league final (yes pinch yourself we are actually in our 3rd champions league final!) then I am in heaven

Yep. I'd take a win on Tuesday over the FA Cup. Much more important game for us. Hopefully Tuchel will have learned a few things from today's poor performance. Mendy will surely start as well so that's  already a positive.

We all agree this line vs. line offside var ruling is terrible and must change - there has to be some leeway for the attacking side.

That said, this has been applied in this stupid manner the whole season, and this was exactly how it was applied here. The rule must change but that isn't a revelation after this game.

Our loss was because this team is extremely limited against a team parking the bus.

We are never going to be this great team until we get some players who can create goals out of nothing, and at least someone who offers the outlet of the odd goal from distance. Just put a prime Lampard or Essien or Drogba or Hazard or even David Luiz here and give them the amount of space our midfield is given outside the opposition box, they will keep banging them in.

Anyway, you're not really understanding the context of my rational as to why I want top 4. There is no guarantee at winning it but I put realistic in capitals for a reason. Gotta be in it to win it. 

You can say I'm not a true fan, but I don't care. Been supporting this club for over 25 years and our previous finals wins haven't come close to the euphoria of 1997.

We lost the fa cup final last season but at least top 4 gave us the opportunity to be 90mins away of winning a trophy far bigger and more prestigious than the FA Cup.

And for the record, no I wasn't in favour of the super league. I much prefer the Champions League thank you very much.

I'll highlight this bit in bold because you are just plain wrong.  The FA Cup Final is always the last game of the season in normal circumstances. This is the only year it's been changed because of the exceptional circumstances of the covid situation and how it has impacted on the fixture list.

It feels that only Pulisic can create a goal out of nothing - even he is hit and miss. We don’t have many match winners.

There won't be a clear out which is desperately needed, and I really don't see a lot of money spent after the summer when we spent loads on utter sh*t.

Leicester is currently higher in the EPL table so i guess as it stands this Saturday they are better than us. If we beat them on Tuesday then we move above them in the table and would be better than them from Tuesday. It's just too bad that FA final already had been played out at the time when they were better than us. If it was played next Saturday we would have had a better chance of winning it. Does this make any sense...?

Playing CL final with City who is higher than us in the table would expect City to win, although there are always exceptions to prove the rule.

TV audiences do not see the actual fine lines that VAR uses. They use a line one pixel thick, then after a decision is made the lines are thickened up for TV.

There's no way that any of us are in a position to judge an offside from the footage that we see on our  TV screens

I don't think we need a clear out. We need a striker that puts the fear of God into the opposition.

This post makes me sad. . There were days when we used to think the FA Cup Final was special. 1997 win over Boro, the win at Old Trafford against Leeds.Two momentous days in our history and now fans are saying this. Sometimes I wish for the good old days when winning every game was something to be fussed about.

Once we get a good proper striker I have a feeling Timo will start scoring left and right as well. 

P.S I'm now getting the feeling that Ziyech should change to a different league. He played under Lampard and Tuchel and he hasn't gotten much better. He scores occasional goal here and there but overall his play was mostly disappointing.

Tuesday is a must win...the winner will guarantee top 4...Jourinho has to be benched and Kovacic must start alongside Kante...if he's not fit then Mount drops into that role with Havertz replacing him

Blame the BBC and VAR  but this is on TT again,  poor team selection and our reversion to long periods of slow, pointless, time wasting possession when we needed to score 

Thanks Chelsea, weekend ruined.  More annoyed with this one compared to the two Arsenal finals.  Starting a nasty habit of losing finals even when favourites.  I don't blame Kepa for the goal.  That's on TT.  Mendy saves that or at the very least makes Tielemans think twice about taking a shot.  Alonso should never had started nor that useless s*** Ziyech.  First out the door for me.  What does that guy offer??? Just over hit lobbed crosses!!!  I don't care if TT felt the Chilwell, Havertz and Pulisic let him down against the Arse, just give them a rollicking and play them next game.  Mount and then two from Werner, Pulisic or Havertz as the front three, don't care which two from that three but please get rid of Ziyech!!!!

Ziyech and Jorghino are the 2 I would be thinking of moving on.

Two games Kepa started two games lost.  Just saying...That loss from Arsenal was carried by Kepa to the FA cup final. He should probably not be starting any games at this point of the season.
