Ronaldo keeping OGS in a job. Brilliant. He’s a great goal scorer but I still believe he was not what they needed and they would have been a better team with a decent DM.

United only played 30 decent minutes out of a total of 180+ minutes vs Atalanta and got/stole 4 points. City will rip them a new hole at the week end, although I'd wish Ronaldo bailes them once again, but it is not going to happen, they are just not good enough.

I don't understand this game anymore, the refs just seem to make it up as they go along. If it doesn't hit Greenwood's hand, then there is no goal. Accidental or not, I thought goals that were assisted by handballs were disallowed?

OLE is a lucky guy, with the attacking players at disposal, always a chance they could steal a game in 10-15 minutes of decent play, the rest of the game just dont concede too many. With a Conte and Zidane in charge, they'd be front runner in the league and favorite for the CL. The rest of the football world just grateful United is contend with what they could achieve with lucky Ole in charge.

The best scenario is for another United comeback 1-1 or 2-2 draw with another Ronaldo goals.

They could sell 2 squad players for the same price of Hakimi, you don't buy such a talent and then the very next season you come out and say that you can't afford him that's pathetic.

They couldn't have done that ... no-one would want them, especially in the covid-climate of limited funds for transfers.  We had the same problem with Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Batshuayi, Rahman, Baker, Barkley, Miazga, Kenedy, Emerson etc etc ...

@Bob stark since you asked my opinion on Kane/Lukaku, I’m interested in you’re thoughts on the two. Do you think Lukaku better fit for Chelsea.

Imo yes. Kane is maybe the better player (not in his current form though) . Better technically, better finisher.

However, imo we are building this team to complement Havertz and Mount (maybe even cho) which mean the st need to be able to provide not only link up but also run behind threat. Lukaku imo can provide us with this.

It is almost like they don't care about winning anymore. More a marketing organisation than a football team. $ and instagram likes more than trophies. That is why Ronaldo is back and why Jose isn't their coach anymore. Even old cranky Jose is still better than Ole, not good for the insta likes though, too boring.

I heard a lot of United fans doesn't want Conte because he is just a short term manager and "United way" is about building long term success. The same fans also think that signing a 36 years old st and catering the team around him is a brilliant idea. 😅😅

Tbf it's not just United fans that have an obsession with long term managers, I've even argued against other Chelsea fans who are desperate for one despite all the success we've had changing managers when nessesery.

The key difference between us and United/Arsenal is we don't have an owner willing to exploit our fanbase for having romantic/idealistic views.

How long before TT gets the boot you think? Whi would you have replace him?

I mean don't get me wrong I would love a suitable longer term manager but what I am against is sticking with a wrong man or a tenure that has gone stale on the off chance something suddenly clicks/clicks again. United and Arsenal are literally banking on Ole and Arteta respectively turning into Fergie and Wenger despite all the evidence suggesting they won't, it's a criminal way to run the club which shouldn't be praised even if the 1 in a trillion chance they get lucky happens.

If Tuchel becomes the right choice in that regard fantastic but if we get to the point somewhere down the line where both parties quite obviously need a fresh challenge (ala Zidane at Real Madrid) then that's ok too, we both move on with love and both win again.

RB blew a chance to be 2-0 on PSG missing a pen and now are losing.

Since we are likely to finish second is better for us if most first place finishing sides are favorable or English. Better chances to avoid Bayern.

Nice Ajax top their group and City push PSG to second. Would rule us out of facing PSG if it finishes like that.

Why should we be afraid of anyone, especially PSG? We are the champions of Europe, bring anyone on, the opponent doesn't matter. If we want to be successful this season we have to beat the best teams. Even if we finish second in the group it's not a big deal.

Having watched PSG a few times this season, I genuinely don't get the hype. Every single one of Rennes, Club Brugge, Marseille and Leipzig completely outplayed them. Big names aren't important at all.
