Absolute dross again piss poor. Team look so disjointed and brain dead without our 3 key midfielders and the main centre halves.

Given the recent defensive performances I hope that at least shows the board how important it is we hold on to Rudiger. People Sarr aren't just good enough to replace him if he leaves and there aren't that many defenders on the market atm.

Kepa had a view of that shot all the way and it wasn't even to the corner really needs to do better.

We were better with Havertz and his first touch made Lukaku looked like a 3rd their footballer.

Werner took his goal well though at other times was poor.

Saul was actually putting in first time crosses if only Havertz had come on earlier.

Mount for me was anonymous in the 2nd almost as though not fit.

 

We are in a slump at the moment, it's normally earlier in November.

I get we have injuries, but there's too many changes week after week at the moment.

I'm not sure it's that.  We played better players against West Ham and let them score 3.  

This whole team top to bottom is in some sort of funk defensively.  We're actually scoring just fine.

There’s players who played tonight who don’t even deserve a run out against Chesterfield.

I’d rather give those spaces to youth team players.

No way players like Saul & Sarr were players that any manager asked for.

Chances are we are gonna regret not getting the job done tonight.

Didn't see enough of the match to give an analysis but surely without Jorginho, Kova and Kante we can't play 343 especially without Rudiger and Silva. The system is not the ucl winning one. This is a player specific system and Tuchel is highly intelligent, so he must be aware of this, to stick with this rather than change the formation means he believes this is the best possible way to approach this game.

I'll watch the highlights since I only saw the last replay of their third goal I was too busy reqatching the goals we scored and that I missed...switched back to live and watched the ball fly in past kepa pretty grim timing.

Kante and Kovacic are the two big misses for me as they protect the back 3, they go missing and its a shambles regardless who's at the back...although I doubt we would have let the Russians score as freely as they did tonight.

I know we have several injuries, but Sarr, Saul and Barkley do not offer enough quality. Unless we are playing League One club or lower, I would not play them unless my hand was forced completely. Too much standing around and being reactionary, especially after we took a 3-2 lead.

The majority of the goals we conceded before tonight were from individual errors, but tonight, the shape was all wrong. I lost count of the amount of times our wing backs were nowhere to be seen and our CB's were too narrow. The midfield was shockingly poor again too. We really need Kante and Kovacic back as soon as possible. 

And all this circus in front of Abramovich in the presence of his friends. It is not going to sit well with him.

Poor match management by the manager. How do you remove Ross Barkley and put Hakim Ziyech to play in the Midfield? That means you believe your opponents will not attack you at all because Ziyech cannot defend at all in that midfield.

The third goal they scored, I think a cross came and I think the defenders nodded it out but there was no defensive midfielder to clear the ball, then they scored. So, I put that third goal on Thomas Tuchel.

Again, there was no need to bench Mendy for Kepa. For that third goal, I think Mendy would have kept it out. So, I think that third was on Thomas Tuchel.
