We already have 2 good quality ones in Hvertz and Mount if we play that system. Ok this system we need better wingbacks .. no wonder the moment we lost chilwell the entire system has collapsed.

TT needs to move away from this 3 at the back .. almost every possession forward Alonso has a touch but he can’t create anything..  we need to stop relying on such limited players for an attacking threat.

Our best chance today came from such limited player

just realised Spurs have 4 games in hand on us - they'll never win them all but if they did they'd be just 1 point behind us

Wouldn't be worried if Conte wasn't there. Very much game on for top 4 against Arsenal, Utd, West Ham and possibly Spurs.

Bit harsh considering the circumstances dont you think? Wolves have been a tough nut to crack for Liverpool and City. Is it any surprise we struggled to create openings with such a patched up side? When everyone is fit the attack okay, not title winning, but its still functional.

Not really, even with a fit and healthy team, our attacking players are sh*te. We have been relying on goals from defenders all season, now that those goals have dried up, the attacking players are exposed.

Ziyech, Pulisic, Werner, Lukaku, Hudson-Odoi, Havertz, none of them have more than 3 goals in the league this season and we're now at the half way point. No matter the situation, our attacking players fail to produce. It's only Mount that has stepped up in this area, and even he is patchy.

And wolves are a good defending side to be fair to them, Liverpool got lucky in 96th minute against them

It's not luck though, they have attacking players that are fully capable of scoring at any moment in a game. They have a ruthlessness that we lack, even amongst their squad players.

This is the worst attacking Chelsea team I have ever seen, I can't even see where our next win comes from.

It is sh*te...its season after season of pissing around the box, sideways, backwards all for the sake of possession which don't actually win games anyway; scoring wins games.  I'll give them a pass today though as we played with about a 60% full strength team, no subs and against a strong well drilled Wolves defence.  Although we have had bad luck with injuries and COVID or otherwise, I'll stick with what I said; City and Liverpool will off and over the horizon come January, leaving us to battle it out with Spurs, Arsenal and Utd for 3rd and 4th....we continually be inconsistently inconsistent.

Missed that one...🤪

We lack creativity from those on the pitch. We lack an attacking visionary playmaker.

Liverpool wins from sheer speed and chaos, City wins from an overabundance of creative players.

Better second half and Saul gave us better stability in midfield, amazingly. But you can see how drained our team is. Some were arguing in here that covid does not explain that we can’t string two passes, but it does. Covid tires you and when you’re tired you can’t perform properly. And those with negative tests today could be positive with a low viral load just yet. This draw is on the PL, it is clear as daylight that we are depleted and those players available are drained from too many matches in a short period of time (and maybe covid creeping in them while negative yet). Tomorrow they’ll make a decision, and it will be that that favours their darling teams.

Not going all in for Hakimi was the biggest blow for Tuchel, he should have demanded that transfer instead of Lukaku because the way we play it's absolutely crucial that our full-backs show up.

As soon as Chilwell got injured again, our performance dropped and Alonso isn't in his prime so he doesn't get into dangerous areas as before and IMO James is top quality, basically our world class talent and he has 4 goals and 5 assists in the league but still he just became 22 years old so he'll have some quiet games and inconsistencies.

Tuchel after not getting Hakimi tried to compensate by getting Haaland/Lukaku and that isn't working out. Change of the system is needed because what Tuchel is asking from Alonso and James right now is simply not realistic, we can't win every game through them.

So what will Tuchel tell us is the cause of all this at the moment? Was an annoying match. You only play a system. A team that wasnt giving us much problems, we should commit more players forward to try to score. At times we play four at the back, and have the opportunities of causing problems for all these teams.

For me, this manager is not getting something right.

Surely it's unfair that we need to hobble along with several Covid-cases, extreme fatigue and injuries while several other clubs gets a long break to refresh mind and bodies, get healthy and then restart the season with brand new energy? Massive advantage in favor of Manchester United and Tottenham as far as i'm concerned.

As a matter of fact I would not at all be surprised if they are both right at our heels very soon the way our situation is.

For tomorrow we have no match-fit midfielders. We are going to lose this match badly if it goes ahead.

Bothers me too but it’s a bit of an excuse

1. we gone right off the boil anyway,  no matter who is available

2. TT Must have one eye on the already horrible fixture congestion coming up

Truth is for me we have a good enough squad that players slot in, if I going to be super critical i think this all stems from TT not knowing what his first team is

Missed this, assumed it was off.

Seen the highlights only one Chelsea with Alonso putting Pulisic through who hits the kipper, grim.

At least Liverpool only got a point and Robertson a straight red,

Not the best performance but not terrible either especially considering the circumstances. I thought the 2nd half was an improvement on the first.

Good to see the team look a bit more organised and structured defensively in the 2nd half also. It was a much needed clean sheet and I think that getting that defensive organisation back is gonna be the key to getting over this blip.

Haven’t been able to watch the match and too tired to read through the posts.
However I noticed that Kante started and it’s our first clean sheet in a while.

A draw was probably the as good a result as anyone being realistic would have hoped for. First half was truly awful but second half was certainly improved, a little surprisingly given Saul came on.

Good to see Kante back and playing a full game and bar a couple of loose passes by James I thought the defence looked more composed.

Ziyech and Pulisic once again looked like this level of football is beyond them. Especially Ziyech who looks thoroughly disinterested in the game and really needs to be moved on for both the club's sake and his.

Not sure what the rules are about naming youngsters on the bench. If its not allowed fair enough but of it is then I'm puzzled why we leave a space on the bench and have two keepers on it. Seems odd that we only have two recognised strikers who can be in the first team squad.

I’d imagine the club is doing a balancing act in that if they register a load of the youngsters then you can field a very weak team if most of your first team is out with Covid. Don’t register and they have to postpone if you can’t put x number of players. Don’t know what the exact rules are as far as numbers go.

Possible I guess. That takes a bit of forward strategic thinking at the start of the season.

I’m not 100% sure how it works but I thought you registered so many 1st team squad at the start of the season and this could be added too depending on circumstances.
Also there may well be current training bubble restrictions.
