January 18, 20224 yr Now spurs is a six pointer must win win game And TT will be stressing totnum have had a rest etc etc And the players will take on board the ready made excuse and perform accordingly
January 18, 20224 yr I've run out of patience with Lukaku now. It was embarassing seeing him completely nullified all game simply by a defender wrapping arms around his waist. He has doesn't have the agility to either shrug him off or the intelligence to use it to win a penalty. Utterly pathetic seeing a man his size get manhandled so effortlessly.
January 18, 20224 yr Awful performance. We got outplayed that whole game and Tuchel is a lot to blame as well. Should have taken advantage when we were 1-0 up and made changes. Kovacic, Havertz should have come on a lot earlier. We had no control. The players looked lost. Alonso starting at LB had danger all written over it. We all knew it would be a weak spot. I don't even know why pundits are so clinging on to this 'we lose ground on the leaders City'. Facts is we are in a top 4 race. In terms of games to be played ratio, we would fall behind Spurs if they win their games in hand and also Arsenal would draw level on us. James and Chilwell are huge losses. It is weird that we looked so good against Spurs in both games of cup but look so bad in the league games. Such a big game on weekend against Spurs. Cannot afford to lose.
January 18, 20224 yr Just now, Munkworth said: Brighton have replaced Bournemouth as the team that take the piss out of us season after season. Fair play to the c**ts! Exactly this - just checked, from 2017 - 2019 we played 5, won 5 against Brighton - then from 2018 to now, we played 6, only won 1, and have drawn 5! Becoming a team we just can't seem to beat recently, so many disappointing draws its becoming a habit - we're a long way from the 4-0 away win we cruised to 4 years ago against them in January 2018!
January 18, 20224 yr Brighton were fantastic, they made us look sh*te rather than just our own play. I am not watching another match where Alonso & Dave are playing. I just cannot watch how ridiculous and clumsy we are in defence with those two playing.
January 18, 20224 yr Tuchel has to take the criticism on the chin regarding the length of time he took to make any substitutions. Waiting 80 minutes hoping things would improve was a page straight out of the Sarri coaching manual.
January 18, 20224 yr Another horrible performance again. We have a really hard fight to stay in top four. Based on the last few games we don't stand a chance.
January 18, 20224 yr Maybe Tuchel doing this to get a new Left back now. Changing forwards all the time. I guess Sunday : pulisic on the right werner center and Kai left. or maybe Rudiger behind Lukaku because he is the only One who can pass the ball forward and Odoi in the back 3 defence because he can pass back very good. Maybe another setup 32 11111 so he can keeps his back 3 and none wing backs.
January 18, 20224 yr We are now deep in the Top 4 fight which will be a big challenge for us. On paper we have got lots of good players which just not producing at all. Ziyech, Werner, Havertz, Lukaku, CHO, Pulisic. Neither this season showed even glimpses of consistent good form. They strangling in every aspect of the game which is hard to watch. Maybe it's just not their league. Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Costa were far more consistent performers than these guys. They all had goals in them against any team in any game. These guys don't have threat or goals in them. At least at this point. Maybe it's just a period, a phase...

January 18, 20224 yr Really poor performance. Got nothing offensively from Azpi/Alonso and both were caused issues down their sides defensively also. Im losing track of the amount of chances CHO is missing to create a 2 goal cushion in games as well, he’s not good enough to be an attacker for Chelsea, needs to be moved back to wing back asap.
January 18, 20224 yr 9 minutes ago, Nibs said: Outplayed again. More points dropped. Too many average players, flattering to deceive. And right now TT seems to have lost his magic touch. HAVE to beat Spurs Sunday and give everyone a lift. A defeat would be unimaginable. Can't see us beating anyone currently
January 18, 20224 yr Tammy Abraham must be watching Lukaku and thinking to himself i could do better for Chelsea than that.

Waiting 80 minutes hoping things would improve was a page straight out of the Sarri coaching manual. That too when it was absolutely clear nothing is working.. to play in a back 4 you can’t have players like Jorgi and Alonso who are such weak defenders and can’t pass a single ball more than 10 yards forward
January 18, 20224 yr Spineless, pathetic performance, the only player to come out with any credit there is Silva. From start to finish we were lacklustre and uninterested the passing was disgraceful we looked knackered after 50 minutes and the wing backs were a joke. The body language was worrying we’ve seen it far too many times before when the players down tools for the manager it seems to be ingrained in the club these days. We’ve got a £100m striker who clearly doesn’t want to be here and we haven’t replaced our wingbacks or addressed our creativity problem, serious questions for Tuchel to answer now just hope the board back him.
January 18, 20224 yr Lukakus fault all day long Why did he tel! TT to.pick that team and not make any subs until it was too late ? Get rid
January 18, 20224 yr Bravo Brighton. They outplayed us at the bridge, and they outplayed us tonight only this time without the superb Bissouma to call on. I enjoyed watching them. Both Lamptey and the left back with the funny last name were really good on the back, their commitment was superb. Only thing they did wrong was the subs, Gross and Welbeck were much better than their replacements. Really good hard-working side and entertaining to watch.

We were hanging on like Michael Douglas to Catherine Zeta Jones's arse and he still did nothing.

I think we are overly wrapped up in ourselves at times (all the time?)

Festive Chelsea have extended their stay. Since the end of April we have been poor. No league wins in 2022 yet. Are all the players playing for the manager? Some clearly are but are all of them? The attack give off the impression they don't want to be in the same team as each other.

Top club fans believe we should beat everyone and are rather unhappy when we don't. I don't think we worked hard enough or wanted it enough tonight. Brighton did far more on both counts imo.
