    Individually they are. Pogba who departed is brilliant with Kante or an able midfielder with him, De Gea great keeper, Varane excellent centerback, Rashford great attacker, Sancho has a bright future, Eriksen and Fernandes elite midfielders, Luke Shaw a good player in good hands and many other players would be good in right hands and new system. Most of them were just before they joined United. Their problem is their rich history. As Jose said it is nearly impossible to make that work "with what happens behind the curtains. That club seems to be sad circus.

    I am pretty sure Rashford would score for fun for a lower level team or league as Tammy for example. Prem top level attacker in MU Rashford isn't.

    Think their whole team is awful tbh, our front line is just as bad as theirs

    He also said De Bruyne wasn't a £50m player when City signed him. They don't have a clue what they are talking about, they probably don't even watch more football than us fans.

    While most pundits aren't particularly insightful they have to put out opinions on every player they're asked about and viewers will always remember the predictions they make that are widely incorrect than the ones they make that come true.

    Merse was one of the few that was spot on with Maguire when people randomly started pretending some medicore centre back at Leciester had the potential to be a top 50 centre back in the world for no real reason.

    To be honest I would slightly prefer him over Aubameyang. Aubameyang's last 1.5 seasons in the Prem weren't good at all. It could just be because he wanted to leave Arsenal but it could also be that he lost a yard of pace where he can't score easily against Premier League defences anymore.  Even at Barcelona he scored 13 in 23 in La Liga and Europa League which isn't spectacular. Ronaldo's shown he can still score regularly at the highest level, unless he has a massive decline this season.

    Exactly, as individuals, they only look good on paper and the fact that they play for Utd. The name Man Utd still has gravitas.

    In the real world, Eriksen is playing with a pacemaker, Fernandes is a ballhog who only has a reputation because he got double digit penalties in the first year, Pogba is crocked now and can only play in a free role with a workhorse, De Gea is only a best in the world at shot stopping on his best day, Sancho is slow and lazy, Varane is super crocked and Shaw is chunky 90% of the time. 

    If we thought Werner and Ziyech was bad, we would be losing our minds to have any one of them playing for us

    Pogba had the sense not to renew his contract and sign for Juventus.

    I too would take Ronaldo over Auba if he was willing to stay humble, not force Kante to give up his number, and accept sitting on the bench and being an impact sub in a number of games.  Also give shooting lesson to the rest of the squad on Tuesday and Thursday nights, but the chances of that are basically zero, so no thanks.

    I am not opposed in a one year deal for Ronaldo. We are going through a major squad overhaul and it's a bit much to do it all in one window and expect instant results. We have brought in a combination of experience and youth which is a good thing but are still missing goals up front and a striker who can get his head on the end of balls from out wide. Ronaldo delivers that and is not a big gamble like Gordon is.

    A one year contract would be a short term fix and give us time to properly assess a longer term solution.

    It's hardly a big call to say Maguire wasn't worth £80m, he also came out with crap by saying that if you play a back 3, that means your defenders aren't good enough. 

    We are waiting for Auba, whom I think will not join us until he's being forced out. So if Ronaldo manages to rip up his contract at United, why not give him a 1 year deal? He will score the goals, he won't have a strong position in contract negotiation, the merchandise sale will take care chunk of his salary, and the Boehly gets a super star in his first year.

    I'm pretty sure numbers can't be changed once the season has begun. I also think if he comes here he starts unless fatigue sets in.
