How on earth did you translate this as giving them too much respect? With James at RCB we can expect a high line + to deal with the pace of Son on the counter attack. RLC also provides more energy at wingback than James.

I think the only question mark anyone could have is RLC but that's clearly a selection based on wanting James at CB and not having Son run in behind a 100 year old back 3.

A good lineup. Ruben will the key here

Ruben will drift middle to overload the midfield. That should make Conte double pivot miserable and we will be able to keep the ball. 

Defensively ruben need to make sure he is alert against sessegnon run.

The best counter to a 3-4-3 would actually be a 4-2-4.

Would make us a little vulnerable to their front three but we'd overwhelm them in midfield and attack.
