Most predictable team we could have picked.

But also the right one.

I think the only question mark anyone could have is RLC but that's clearly a selection based on wanting James at CB and not having Son run in behind a 100 year old back 3.

The couple times RLC played at RWB  against Palace in cup semi-final and Real at Bernabeau, we played really well.

Honestly still don't see what RLC brings to us after all these years

If he is given some freedom he can add a bit of weight and power in the midfield and drive forward on the wing...IF, although I suspect that TT will be his usual pragmatic defensive self...why would he change and start making the opposition think for a change. He's got 6.5 defenders outfield players in the line up; where are the goals coming from? Maybe RLC might be able to offer something.

That would depend on the socks and how well stocked @Valerie is with her ice cream, and is she in full training kit?

@axman2526 I've seriously stockpiled the ice cream, but it's too hot for the magic training pants. So expect a draw :greysweat:

I thought RLC was poor at the Bernabeau.

One of the few that didn't shine for us that night.

I'd argue he was partially at fault for getting them back in the Tie.

If we are going to win I think Spurs left side is where we will get joy.

What we need is movement ahead of the ball, especially in the box instead of playing ring a ring a roses around the box.  Chelsea have added a new dimension to the word 'recycling' when it comes to playing football.

Probably going to be a tight game. first goal will be vital and my worry is that we will continue our pattern of creating little and missing the chances that come our way. Hope I am wrong though.

He started off edgy then grew into the game.

I think Tuchel also played him the following game against Southampton 7-0 and he put in another good performance.

Only on here can Tuchel play Ruben Loftus Cheek of all players at wingback and still be branded defensive.
