Work to be done. Out played, Out enthused. Thats the kicker for me we were just second to everything. I think thats goodbye conor.

Looking at our bench today there is no one there who can change a match.

I hate to say it but we need to bring in two of the likes of auba and ronaldo. I would also have gordon over any of the useless lumps today, even if he plays sh*t he leaves his heart and soul on the pitch.

After last season a big decision was needed on Mendy and we ignored it.

Although Leeds looked sharper, pressed us off the pitch, Sterling had the offsite goal in the early stages and we were in the game despite Leeds work rate. The Mendy blunder just escalated everything.

That is a big ticket. & if it fails then what? Sack the manager; but we will be stuck with his duds.

I agree.

Its a desire, mentality, mindset and square pegs/round holes problem

The manager is smart, creative and passionate about one side of the ball, and arrogant, incompetent and clueless about the other side of the ball. The new ownership will stick with him for too long, delaying a turnaround. Mark it.

Just not good enough. Our lot pick and choose the games where they want to show up. Only difference between our good and bad performances is that atleast we're defensively decent in our good games. When we play bad our defence including the GK goes to sh*t too. Mediocre attack and wastefulness in front of goal are common theme in nearly every game.

Who Is Essentially The Spine Of This Team, Dunno If It Was The Same Before Jorgi As I've Had Many Drinks Between Then, But Were We So Pragmatic With Possession, Did We Always Play Sideways And Backwards Ball?

Mendy - 3 - Awful mistake for their goal, another to add to the growing collection.

Loftus-Cheek - 4 - Never in the game

James - 4 - Same as Loftus-Cheek

Koulibaly - 2 - Dogsh*t. Two yellow cards, lazy all game, this isn't Serie A, but it's too late for him to adapt to the Premier League at his age. Not looking like a good replacement for Rudiger at this point.

Silva - 5 - Didn't really do anything wrong, which is the best we can say about anybody today.

Cucurella - 5 - Early signs that he is the type of player that only plays well when the team is playing well?

Jorginho - 3 - Bullied. Had zero control of that midfield, every single one of his weaknesses exposed.

Gallagher - 3 - Not a CM. He was all over the place in the first half, struggled badly with his back to goal. Can't see him getting back into the team unless we make changes to our formation.

Mount - 3 - Awful start to the season. Manages one decent shot each game but that's about it.

Havertz - 2 - Shoehorning him in at this point. He has no place in this team if we are going to stick with a back 3.

Sterling - 4 - Missed a great chance in the first minute and was caught offside too many times

Subs = Who cares?

We need new players. Gallagher, Havertz and RLC aren't good enough to be starters. Jorgi doesn't work without Kante or Kova doing the work for him, Mount isn't offering much for quite a while now, Mendy needs to be benched as well for a while. The fact that a player like Pulisic wears our number 10 already says it all.

That being said, I also don't know why Tuchel insists on playing players out of position, I'm sure he has his reasons, I just don't see them. Would love an interviewer to ask him that instead of their usual rubbish repertoire.

That's cause Tuchel's gameplan is to win every single match by 1:0. If something goes wrong we simply won't be able to come back into the match at all.

Very characteristic moment in the game - a ball bounces back to Sterling outside Leeds box, and while all Leeds players promptly leave the box as trained, Ziyech and Havertz stay behind in off-side position care-free and block the shot from Sterling.  This tells me that our players are not drilled into basic maneuvering in attack, they are not trained tactically and they are allowed to switch off and lose focus at any given moment.  It is down to TT and his staff to sort it out, and it is quite worrying to see that this issue becomes more persistent in our game.

We don't have a spine - we have a fragile shell that can get smashed far too easily

Tuchel won't survive the year.

We need a tactic revamp and we need a midfield revamp. We need to design our strategy and tactics that makes our forward better.

I absolutely hate it when our defenders touch the ball more than our forwards.

Gallagher isn't a CM, not yet at least. Kante and Kova is too injury prone these days. Jorginho is Jorginho, I've said all that I've said about him. Carney is untested yet in blue.

Surprise, surprise, it's the seasonal embarrassing thumping from a lower table side. Do we ever go a season without those?

Save this comment to your clipboard. You'll need to copy and paste this a few times this season.. Southampton away for example and then at home to West Ham

Very simple - Tuchel might be a defensive genius (questionable) but he is putrid in his offensive design. The way he has yanked offensive guys the last two years has shattered confidences. None of the attacking players believe in his system. Guys on here like Hazardous can blame Pulisic for all of the offensive woes - and, three games in, if you really believe that, you know nothing about football. Sterling, no goals so far. Mount and Havertz - absolute ghosts (do either of them even have a shot on goal this year?). Chelsea have absolutely no attacking midfielders. None. Aaronson and Adams absolutely shamed Gallagher and Jorginho today. The wingbacks were putrid. Time to scrap this offensive set. Hazardous, you can keep blaming Pulisic all you want. Other, more knowledgeable Chelsea fans, will realize it's little Tommy's system, not the players.

Is it the players or the system? He has signed Sterling who looks like he is struggling 3 games in.

Personally think its the players. People like Pulisic and Zieych shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. Sterling would be better with better playersa round him imo. His forst few games have looked like he is doing all the work at the front.

Why the hell did sterling want to come here

Because Man City didn't want him any more and Barcelona didn't bother to put in an offer.
