February 4, 20242 yr Just now, ducavis said: Enzo is not helping him at all, it’s clear he doesn’t want to play in a pivot. He is left doing a 2 man job while Enzo is out there leading the press (madness!). A stronger manager would have dropped Enzo & told him to cut out the crap, but Poch is weak. One of Gallagher or Enzo needs to display some positional discipline and stay in the pivot. Either that or give Casadei a chance, but I think that is even less of an answer at this stage. No obvious answers in the academy either. The potential answers at the club are all "continuing to undergo their rehabilitation program". I'd say "return to a back 5" if we had enough fit defenders ...

February 4, 20242 yr He has been top class under every manager he's faced until he meet Pochettino, clear to see where the problem is. 24 minutes ago, just said: Well too late now. We should have listened to @Gol15 and signed Declan Basmati. In Poch's system being solely relied as the man in the build up? Good luck with that, even at a more settled Arsenal Arteta has been either playing Jorginho and pushing him up or having Odergaard drop deeper to help him out.

This is why I still believe that despite all the hard work Gallagher does, he is a detriment to our midfield because of the balance. Either him or Enzo need to be dropped for a natural DM and I'd rather keep Enzo in the team considering his contributions and goals compared to Gallagher.

I think I'd try Enzo as the furthest one back, and set him up as the deep lying playmaker, with Caicedo alongside him as the ball-winning destroyer. I'd also like to see Chukwuemeka get a run at #10, with Nkunku on the left, Palmer on the right, and Jackson up top. At least three of those know how to shoot and score, and Jackson with all his faults will still get a few goals as well.
February 4, 20242 yr Him being isolated in build up is a valid point but defensively, he just isn't very good. He should not be relied upon to protect the defence.
February 4, 20242 yr I'd like to see Caciedo play slightly wider.. preferably about 35m to the side. Sat beside Mudryk
February 4, 20242 yr I just feel the player is lazy, pretty much sums up his whole game. Never see him sprinting, no urgency ever. Slows the whole game down.
February 4, 20242 yr I just saw Caicedo's reaction when substituted. Finally some passion, although probably broke his hand and will be out for 3 months. Great pass for the goal, some terrible freekicks given away and inability to track his man. Poor day at the office. Video (1).mov

February 5, 20242 yr Author Attacking his seat on the bench. Cleaning solutions fanbase destroyed theirs and more in protest against the way their club is being run. Do our home and away fans need to do the same to get Clearlake to see this won't be accepted?
February 5, 20242 yr I want to believe that it's only a coaching matter... But for now he's not for this level, only mistakes.
February 5, 20242 yr Concentration maybe affected by what is kicking off in Ecuador ? I assume he still has a lot of family over there ... ?

Or from another viewpoint, Enzo is doing exactly what the manager is asking him to do hence why he isn;'t being dropped. Questions need to be asked of the manager being in the job for 8 months and having made the players regress.
February 7, 20242 yr Absolutely bossed it today that is the player we saw at Brighton!! I saw a player with no fear showing for the ball in tight spaces, little touches around the corner one - twos with Enzo.
February 7, 20242 yr He was fantastic, I’ve not said much about him but I could always see what a quality player he is. In fact most of our players are much better than what we’ve seen so far this season, especially Caicedo and Enzo and they’ve shown that tonight.

Here he has been left isolated. Not today, and was his and Enzos best games of the season. Funny that.
