Jao Felix is looking for a move away from Madrid. Maybe even as early as January. Hakim Ziyech has to be leaving soon. Maybe even Pulisic? Maybe a Pulisic for Felix swap + cash deal could be reached? Felix in and Pulisic and Ziyech out. 

 

He maybe suffered due to the Cholo effect, defensive and rigid football didn't suit him.

He's still just 22 but the reason why I'm skeptical about us going for him is the fact that from what I know he plays centrally like Griezmann/Dybala (more or less) and not so much wide but there we have already have Havertz and Gallagher and not to mention Mount as well.

I think he may well be too lightweight for the PL. I don't doubt his ability, its his strength and ability to meet the required pace of the PL that I think may be suspect.

A.Madrid have let him know he can leave in January, likely a loan due to the money they spent on him. He was a bright spark for Portugal during the WC but isn't he another Havertz in terms of position?

I have always thought he was playing in the wrong team. His skillset is very restricted for Atletico Madrid. I wonder how he would look in a free-flowing team.

Would not mind it at all. I do feel he is very much like Havertz and that could be a problem. However he is not Falcao, Pato or, more recently, Lukaku or Auba, old, past it with nothing but money left.

He still needs to prove his ability at the top and he was not all hype.

 

I would like to see us get him on an 18month loan with buy option, turned in to a buy obligation based on conditions. Gives him something to go after, gives us a proper chance to see him during the project not right at the beginning only.

Somehow it looks like an underwhelming signing. Not cause J.Felix is a bad player but I think he simply spent too much time with Cholo and his development stopped, as if he peaked at 20. Not even sure if he would do well in the PL or if he could be our poacher...

Anyway I found this interesting article, apparently Joao was a Havertz before Havertz, not playing in the "Kaka role" so he would fit right in:

The ideal version of Félix should be that of a prolific playmaker who can also find his way into scoring opportunities through intelligent play in the final third, rather than that of a standard ‘striker in a front two’ who looks to work off the creation around him.

Another Kai then basically, but if he scores a UCL winning goal for us I don't mind. I like him as a player, but if the reports of Potter planning to utilise Kai as a centre forward are true. We need a goal scoring winger not another player in the same build as Kai.

I think actually that this type might work very well with Havertz tbf. 

Playing them together looks to me a much better fit than Kai - Lukaku or Kai - Auba. As they are both footballing types of players. So they could assist eachother and link up well in the combination. 

I wouldn't mind seeing the outcome. Especially with Nkunku next season.

Just feels like we are throwing sh*t on the wall to see what sticks. Needs to be played as a “10” in a 4-2-3-1 to be effective, he isn’t a CF or a winger.

Yea some winger, inside-forward that can finish chances would be the best but apparently it's impossible to find such a profile...

He was great at the world cup, stood out, but then that's rarely an indication of how you go in the league.

He'd best not come to Chelsea then... 😭

Not sure on him as a No.10 very busy and technically good yet did not seem clinical. 

 

A technically gifted player who has little effect on a football match.  He’ll fit right in.

We need goalscorers. Stay clear I think. Will cost a fortune as well. 

So many people seem to be on this World Cup high. Ziyech looked like a world beater at the WC, so I wouldn't put much into performances for country vs club. 

Part of me is excited about being linked with him but part of me feels like he's too much like Havertz. 

If he was like an Aguero in terms of productivity, he'd be very very good. His skillsets matches well with our team.

We should be in for him in my opinion. We are crying out for a playmaker. Someone who can pick out a pass in the final third a score from outside of the box. Someone with a bit of flair and imagination.

Not for €20m for five months and presumably cup tied for the two remaining CL games we are likely to have.

They got rid of that rule a year or two ago. 

What a waste of talent with Simeone (Atletico) and Fernando Santos (Portugal).

He deserves the Premier League.
