I can see it being another year loan with an obligation to pay at the end of it which makes sense for all parties. As the last few posts have mentioned above, he is a very classy player and we haven't seen anywhere near the best of him yet in a chelsea shirt. He came into utter chaos and still somehow ended up being our top scorer since he came in, and even if you take away all the goals he is still one of the best players on the pitch.

Once we sort the squad out and sell the deadwood, get a proper manager in and play attacking football I think we will definitely see the best of him. He is our franchise player if it all goes well

To play where? He plays in the exact areas Nkunku plays, loaning him again wouldn’t do anything but show the owners are clueless & we are a poorly run club. You don’t sign a player and then loan another player on big money for the exact position.

4 goals in 15 games for a £10m half season loan while paying him £250k/w is just bad business.

Don’t think there is a place for him in the squad.. if we want to do a 433 with 3 forwards he doesn’t press enough to be a part of the 3..

if we want him as a 10 what happens to havertz and nkunku.  They don’t play well as wide players..don’t see the logic in this at all

We should definitely get him on loan again next season if possible

I dont rate him but would be interested to see how he develops, or does not, under Pochettino, and how he fits in with Nkunku, Madueke, Mudryk and a new striker.

However since Atletico got 10mill for just 6 months of a loan of that means he is 20mill for 1 year I hope we look elsewhere.

Once again our best attacking player when he came on. His ball control and first touch are sublime.

I don’t think he was, it was a poor cameo. Kept on trying to shoot when a pass to a better placed player (Chukwuemeka 2x) was on. Never got any of the 5 shots he took on target.
Hard pass for me, still can’t figure out what player he is. he isn’t a winger, neither is he a playmaker, and if he keeps shooting and can’t score it’s just a waste of everyone’s time. If we had that money lying around, we are better off buying an Olise for a fraction of the transfer fee & wages.

Even it's 10M for the whole season next time, paying his full salary on top of that be a huge expense. Then someone has to tell Mount we don't have money to give him a proper pay rise 🥸 Unless Felix is what Pochettino demands, rather we focus on getting Nkunku up to speed next season, and reduce the number of players at the club.

He's the better player out of a real poor bunch. But forever we will pay to sign him, we want a consistent performer, not a guy that score or assist once a month.

I think he could become that and I think he will become that. If not with us then with somebody else. I don't think he's another Werner, Havertz or Lukaku situation waiting to happen, I think he has a lot more going for him. He's a better footballer than all of these players.

Completely disagree. He might not be a natural goal scorer but neither are any of our other players and he is better than all of them. We have no consistent finishers at all and that is 100% our biggest problem.

He is going to be a major player for us when we do find that finisher because Felix is the one who will make most of the openings for them. It is so blindingly obvious to me that I struggle to understand why some others cannot see it.

Sell Havertz, sell Sterling, buy Felix.

So far there's been no evidence of that apart from at Benfica. Seems a risk considering that was 4 years ago.

It's like people forget that he was actually pretty good at Atletico and in a system that didn't suit his playstyle.

He's played here under Potter when we actually created loads of chances yet he's squandered 80% of them. End product has been lacking his entire career.

Considering this, and the fact Nkunku is coming in, should we really spend 80m (or 30m loan fee) in the hope Pochettino develops him into having better output when we have other areas that are a priority?

No one doubts his ability with the ball. His problem has always been end product.

I must have mis-read his job specification. Has Felix been brought in to be our goal scorer? Our leader of the line? Our Kane, Halaand, Drogba, Toney? Or is he meant to be our Mark Hughes, David Speedie, Firminho?

Don't think he is any of those myself and never will be. But when we finally find a couple of forwards like that Felix is going to be the bomb. If not for us then for some other top team.

Players with his natural skills, technical ability and creative thinking are very, very rare.

He has 0 assists and a whopping 1 big chance created in 20 appearances for Chelsea.

No one expected Felix to be contributing a goal every other game but his metrics go hand in hand with the eye test which explains the frustration.  He is a very inefficient decision maker and not something we should be spending nearly 80m for when our attack is already chalked full of these inconsistent performers. Since he's left Atletico, they are first in the table.

Havertz is more than likely going to be here next summer as well.

I am in the camp of keeping him and if we went off the stats of everyone this season then we wouldn't have a squad left because they would be all sold apart from 1 or 2. If we are losing Mount and potentially a few forward players like Ziyech, Pulisic then it makes sense to try our best and loan him.

He's the one of the very few players I have enjoyed watching this season as frustrating he can be but I always liked that he was a bit greedy in front of goal. To me he's shown something different to what we've seen the past 2-3 years out of a player in that position.

Though I wouldn't pay a big fee for him. We need to take advantage of the situation that Simone doesn't want him and loan him like Inter are doing with us and Lukaku.

Love watching him play, great skill set and movement. Don’t think he is right for us though, don’t think he’ll ever produce the figures that his skill and quality should.

Not what we need at the moment and I think he should move on.

Technical ability is undeniable. But it's not only goals he's missing. He also isn't really a creator of chances. He regularly takes on the shot himself instead of passing to a better positioned team mate. On top of that he's not very good against the ball, so not worth the fee we'd have to pay to get him imo.
