Im as pissed as anyone but people calling for Potter's head are naive. It's just going to be the same think as firing Tuchel. The personnel of the team are what needs changing.

There is absolutely no chance we end up in top four. Spurs won today, Newcastle are improving and so are ManU. We are regressing all the time. We'll end up somewhere between 6 and 9 this season.

It's frustrating that Newcastle are ahead of us in the league. A couple of years ago that would have been unfathomable. The previous ownership really left us in a bad way. As much good as Roman did early on when he took over, we haven't been good enough to dominate for the past five seasons.

He isn’t. Taking one of the most expensive squads ever assembled in history to a final doesn’t make one a world class manager. Same with winning the CL with “one of the worst Chelsea squads”. By that measure Robbie Di Matteo is/was a world class manager. Heck even Abram Grant is/was a world class manager.

Players lacking intensity 

Forwards not only missing big chances…crucially making bad decisions leading to transitions 

This match even with the shambles was recoverable, again poor subs and tactics cost us 2nd half …simply not good enough!

The irony is Potter was the one who formed the team that gave us/him the first defeat. The loss was always going to come at some point, and maybe this was a blessing in disguise.

Who would you consider to be a world class manager then?

Stop blaming Roman. He won us 19 trophies including 2 Champions League. Its the shame we went for a manager like GP who is over-hyped because hes English but has never won anything!

One admittedly bad game.  Before this we had not lost under Potter.

I can go back and find bad games under Tuchel too.  And that is before this season.

 

I’m appalled at the manner of the performance, from Potter thru every player. That is so poor 

I expected this once I saw the line up you can’t play sterling and Puli at wingback for FFS so glad I went out today with the family and didn’t stay home to watch this sh*te on some sh*te stream

I fully expect Tuchel to be at another top club in the next year. When we inevitably sack Potter, he will go back to being a mid table coach.

Our attackers aren't suddenly terrible.

They're being played in a system which sets them up to fail. Sterling didn't suddenly lose the ability to play football. He's just not a wingback. This has been going on for a month now. Pulisic went from looking real positive a couple weeks ago to struggling. Because he's not a wingback either. Kai can't lead the line. Mount is not a creative player even though he's being asked to be. 

And all of that is leaving the defense outnumbered with huge gaps to take advantage of whenever we lose the ball. 

Don't tell me our players aren't quality enough to not get run off the pitch by Brighton. This is on Potter and his system.
