Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!

Seen enough to beleive Enzo is just one of those players who is not suited to the PL.

In Spain or Italy he would look much better, but I don't think he makes it here for we should look to find a way out for his sake and our own.

A modern day Verón one might say... I wish I could hear what @BlueBeard thinks.

The modern world is very hollow isn't it?

Anyway, straight swap for Gallagher please.

I don't believe people should stay in a unhappy marriage just because they made a commitment, especially in this case when he's very young.

No matter how stupid or immature the reason may be, if it's resulting in an unhappy marriage it is best to part ways. A married but unhappy family is not a good environment to raise kids in.  Lots of celebs just let their husband cheat to be honest, I'm guessing she was not okay with that.

Quite frankly I don't expect anyone to be committed to the club that hasn't gone through our academy.

The likelihood though is they part their ways, he stays in London and she returns to Argentina with the kids. She’s followed him across the world first to Lisbon and onto the UK, it’s not unreasonable to expect a similar commitment from Enzo. T

Too much too young

It's not a like for like type swap?

I haven't seen him play but I'm reading he's a DM/#6, (so could ease pressure on lavia) but also plays as Cb? Is he any good?

He's young, in line with the rest of our grp.

I personally don't see what Enzo junior offers the team (a few good passes, every now and then) but then again I'm not a qualified coach or have any insight into marecas plans for him, if there are any.

But my eye test and pragmatism , i'd rather have a player to swap with lavia or cb's than someone that may offer a good pass here or there, also chucky might be utilised more as a #8 then instead of Enzo jnr or even felix can fill that role.

He’s not a CB.

I really like him as a player. He can play across the midfield positions and is definitely suited a bit more to our system whereas Enzo would be a much better player in Madrids formation.

If no one else comes in for Enzo I would be happy to swap with Tchouameni.

When I googled him it said he played both but nvm, i agree its his midfield duties that may be needed more. I still think we are light in midfield if Lavia is on and off with injuries or taking it easy.

Our cb's...we have enough cb's but unfortunately only 2 are worth keeping going forward with the rest subs at their absolute best (for cfc/PL). And in those 2 they aren't ready yet. Normally colwill will be learning from a mature cb beside him with fofana getting increasingly more game time. Tosin can't fill silvas role even though he is vocal, he's not someone that can pass wisdom down to colwill.

So yeah...I'd go for someone useful in midfield to cover for lavia or step into the other midfield positions if needed than Enzo jnr, which until now I still don't know what he brings other than the odd pass or 2. I wished he could be a sh*tty fabregas at least but he's too far forward for that. I just can't see him as an 8 either.

The way I read it implies things would remain the same he would just be living by himself so I’m not sure that will be the case, at least while he’s still in England anyway.

These things happen a lot when you get married/kids extremely young, even if you have no money. I think it shows some level of maturity to make the tough decision and split rather than forcing things. As long as he still remains a good father that is.

Well he is a multimillionaire so her lifestyle can afford her to do that. Not excusing him, but believe me there are a lot of players who commit adultery. It happens much more often than you think. Some players just don't get caught. I mean look at our own club legend....

I agree that Enzo has not really impressed but we should judge him on purely football, not his personal life because one we don't know the full circumstances and 2 we pay him to play football, not judge him on what he does outside of football.

That Fijaches bloke is milking this Tchouameni/Enzo swap.

Would be happy if it is true. Enzo needs to go, he is just not suited for the PL.

No doubt at Real he would look a much better player.

Not sure how good Tchouameni is mind you but these you buy our player we buy yours are all the rage at our club.

Judge him on either he's been sh*te at both.

less than two years and he's had about two good performances whilst chanting racist songs at his team mates, getting banned from driving and now breaking his family apart to get his end away. Genuinely impressive, makes Rooney look a saint.

Such a shame because I really like his style of football, always like a midfielder with good vision and an eye for a pass. Been missing that since Cesc went and he was a magician in the middle.

But he's just not cutting the mustard is he? He's been here for almost 3 years now and he's not breaking into the side.

I’m well aware that many players commit adultery, Im close to retirement age and not some closeted kid. I agree we judge on what we see on the pitch. That said you can’t divide home life and work life, both go hand in hand. It’s what we all have to do, he is fortunate that if his work declines his wage packet doesn’t, unlike the average Joe on the street. He chose to have a wife and kid at a young age, it’s clear as day he hasn’t lived upto expectations, the break up may have to be taken into consideration but the time has arrived for him to start producing in his job and if need be, a separation that works for his family and the club.

Fair point, I'm lucky Chelsea have been a Premier League club as long as I've been alive, but our second division teams didn't have the luxury of spending a billion pounds.

And they’d wipe the floor with this ‘B team’. Probably the A team too.

Madrid would be a poor move IMO. He will be bench warming, and isn’t getting in ahead of Camavinga, Bellingham or Valverde. Their fans also have zero patience.

i keep seeing the Enzo for Tchou swap deal. I like Tchou as a player but do we really need him with A.Santos out on loan?

I'd rather just take a fee for Enzo.

The same article also talks of Madrid being up for an £84m straight purchase for Enzo as an alternative to a swap for Tchouameni.

Bite their arm off I say !

Still think Chukwuemeka or Casadei can come good, in addition to Santos.

I vote we give Perez/Ancelotti the opportunity to solve all those potential problems 🙂

Almost 2 years, I think. The move has not been a good one for the club or the player. Our talent spotters who persuaded the owners to break the club's transfer record to sign him are too proud to admit they made a massive error. Hopefully Maresca will just ignore the fee and his big-name status and just go by performances and results when picking his teams. There's no way he should be starting ahead of Lavia alongside Caicedo. I genuinely fail to see where he would fit into our midfield

Would never imagine getting clsoe to that, we should accept if that even gets mentioned in official negotiations.
