You can call the squad rotten to the core, or blame it on the last 5 managers and Roman. At the end of the day, manager still needs to play with the cards they got, and got the best out of the limited players. There are plenty of examples of managers got something out of ordinary or out of form players, do we see it this season? Has anyone improved since Potter took over, or is anyone playing well? We aren't getting out of this sacking people, not going to get out this pinning it all on players and buy another team either.

It's quite hard to improve when you end up on the injury table the moment you start playing well.

Fyi I genuinely think our injury record is the biggest obstacle, psychologically it must be a huge factor for all the players.

The way it's going so far, I can only see Boehly sacking Potter if Potter fails to secure promotion from the Championship in his second season ...

I think Boehly has his eyes on the Europa Conference League - he will be keen to make history being the first owner of Chelsea to win it.

I think he might be applying to the powers that be to allow bigger squads in both Premier League and Europe as we need to accomodate the dozen or so attacking midfielders / wingers we have, sorry wide receivers.

And as for Graham Potter, its being widely reported that he takes a while to get a team together and performing - why?

Sounds expensive strategy/ excuse if we miss out on Champions League for a season or two

You can. When you look at the results there is a little person icon under each h option. Click on that and you can see who voted. Unless it's only admin that can see it.

I tried it Loz. Not working for me.

Would be good in this poll if we could see who has voted "Yes" and who has voted "No".

I am lost, the entire fan base seems to be divided. Potter to stay or go, I was glad he got time but after 21 games I see no improvement, no plan, no structure and the list goes on. Potter has no winning mentality and we can splash all the money we want, to me he seems out of dept. With owners backing it all depends on how supporters are going to react in the stadium, if the pressure is out on Potter there is no choice. I am just curious what you all think, in or out? And if more time; how many more games??

Our owners say we have one of the best coaches in the business, why on earth would we want to sack him???

Tbf they said that about Tuchel too and look how that turned out. Sadly I suspect they will try to stay truer to their words this time around. If results stay the same for the next year and Potter is still here I can see it getting really ugly on match days. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. If it does I hope they listen to the fans and bring in a world class coach

So far 44 say he should g0 and 60 say he should be given more time...

I voted he should stay ... I don't think we'll go down but I think maybe they'll change it at the end of the season if it is still shyte.

Chelsea lost some massive talent that was never replaced - JT, Hazard, Drogba, Lampard, Cech ... add in the missing Kante and that's the core of class that the rest of the team played around...

Potter should be able to get some results now but to be fair Chelsea still haven't found a top notch striker (apart from Costa)... but I cannot help thinking we'll score a few more goals with Felix and the other new faces - so give Potter a few more months and lets hope we get a no 9 soon.

This poll was a month ago, I don't think the majority want him to stay anymore

Unbelievable how short sighted some fans have become ... Just write this season off and give Potter time he is trying to evolve the playing style.. I don't care if we're not playing in Europe next season, what's the point of being in it if your No where near winning it have season off and  concentrate on the league title.

He'll that next season, that much is a given. The question is if he can evolve the playing style. Took less time for Conte, Sarri and Tuchel.

If that were true then I'd like to see it. I have been waiting for an "evolved style of play" ever since his first game.

Conte took 3 games, Sarri and Lamps pretty much turned it in an instant. Really looking forward to this amazing style of play

Hard to implement coming in mid-season, with all the injuries we've had, and with all the new players we've signed. He's made some mistakes to increase the difficulty of the job without a doubt, but those can't be undone now.

For me it's clear we won't win anything and getting into the top four is pretty remote. It doesn't matter if Potter shoulders some of the blame for this (imo he does).

Given that, sacking him now for an improvement in the short term doesn't make sense-even if that is what you think should have happened, the window for such a decision making logical sense has closed.

I think the key measure to determine whether he should be managing the club next season is if our performances start to improve week on week, with us playing a style of football that is recognisably a result of Potter's coaching.

If that happens, it should shore up his position.

If I was at the club, while hoping for that outcome, I would also be discreetly drawing up a shortlist for possible replacements in the event it does not.

Mid season is a reach, Tuchekl has 6 league games. Technically, with 22 games played from a 38 game season, we are only just over the half way point now. This is mid season and he's been here since September.
